yea, it's fluorescent blacklight paint. I'm going to guess the lighting setup down there cost more than the music setup . My basement has been a project me and my friends have worked on for a few years. You can kind of see that couch in the picture, we have a few down there. It's just a cool place to chill and listen to some good music. I spin mostly Trance with a little bit of everything from other genres...
Also, I've never used vinyl, and I'm pretty excited that I just bought a beat-up Technics 1200 used on eBay. It's in the mail atm, but that'll be fun too.
The computer there currently has Traktor on it and is just hooked up to the mixer's 3rd channel. I don't have FinalScratch or Serato. It has the demo versio of Ableton on there, I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with it. My next mixer will definitely be MIDI ready if I do. My mixer is shit, regrettably .
