Well...arrived in London yesterday.....am so fried and stressed from all the travel, so not really sure what I think of London yet.... The place I'm living is pretty cool, and right in the middle of everything....and I start working on Monday....hopefully will get my head around it all eventually!!
Have a weird nagging feeling that this isn't quite where I'm meant to be tho........so, have decided to listen to my gut....am gonna stay here 3 months and then I'm going back to Egypt to live until I come home in June via USA, Cuba and Mexico.... Just can't get enough of Egypt....it owns me now!!
Really wanna put up some travel pics...but my laptop decided to have a stroke the other day and now i can't load windows so can't get anythin off it til I get around to taking it somewhere for a windows repair cos im too afraid to try the recovery console myself *lol* Just what I needed on top of getting my wallet stolen in Paris....and same thing happened to Edd 2 days earlier in Paris as well.......it never rains, it pours!!
Been watchin a lil of the Olympics...seein the Aussies has given me my first dose of homesickness since I left....but at least I know now that Australia really is the best place to settle....we really are the lucky country.....Europe is great but doesn't come close to our Aussie lifestyle.....so, looking forward to being home next year when the travel bug is outta my system!!!
Over and out from London |
Not quite sure what i think of london just yet either, have not been out and about much just yet as have been doing a lot of catching up with helen. Should not really judge a book by its cover but so far cant say i am impressed. Too cloudy, too dirty, too expensive and ppl seem unfriendly and have no regard for others and just shove into you on the busy city streets. Reminds me of Belin in a way lol. Clubbing in london is great though, first night here Helen we went out and saw Thrillseekers, Scott Bond and Agnelli and Nelson.
Unfortunately am running so low on cash so will need to stay here for at least a while, get a job and save some cash so can finish the rest of my travel and come home. Luckily Helen and Stu have been nice enough to put me up for a lil while until i get on my feet
I am in the process of uploading travel pics, first need to sort thru and select some from the thousands i have taken so that Gav does not get a heartattck at how much webspace i am using
Re the olympics.. congrats to greece for pulling it off!!!. Shocked to see Tiesto. From what i heard through the crappy commentary he did a great job and at he played trance . Had to laugh my ass off when Netherlands came out. They all looked like they were heading for White Sensation. I too got really homesick when i saw the aussies and realisation set in of how lucky we are to live where we live and to have the lifestyle we have. Can;t belive how much i took for granted. Cant wait to come home!
