Stopped by Bleu for about an hour just to see if I could run into any TAs and didn't see anyone recognizable. I really wanted to rob someone and give them that genuine Detroit welcome, but by a former Bronx stick up kid . The easiest to rob would have been iammesol , RJT and Clovis (scrawny bitch crew ), Bas would've probably ran and left them stranded.

Not going to Bleu until tonight, and even then only for an hour to catch Mathias set.

Justin Long was the set of the day for me yesterday, but Voorn and the Kage/Reference were also epic win at the festival.

The VOLATL party was also pretty epic - Kate Simko was absolutely un-fucking-real. Hakita and Tony Kasper also played great, and Dirtybird played some tunes I'd really like to ID.

Looking like rain/storms tonight though - hopefully clear by Old Miami.

Edit: I am an idiot. The rain forecast was for Milwaukee.

Enjoy your stay, wish I could make it out there tonight but I have some boring family BBQ gathering that I was strong armed to go to. If anyone who's there plans on sightseeing around the city, please warn them to stay away from the east side especially the evergreen area and 5 to 8 mile road if they value their lives. I highly recommend the Greektown area which is about a 3 block stretch. Great places to eat and visit and an all around great community, one of the oldest historical areas in Detroit. Stay away from the Greektown Casino, MGM Grand Detroit is where it's at.

Yeah - this is my 4th DEMF, and we're staying in Greektown (Atheneum), so we've got a pretty good idea where to be, and where not to be.



We've been living on Greek food all weekend.

Greektown is pretty much the only place in Detroit I'd stay.

set for me had to be daniel bell's dbx revival set

got to see a preview of it at the bunker a few weeks ago, but yesterday was awesome. i got stuck up in front which wasn't my favorite but at least there was more room there then in the middle

alex under also was pretty great

found myself hanging out a lot on the main stage seating with the new york crew


tonight, temp tattoos first. (was at oslo for a bit last night because it was free and I have no fucking clue how that room will be habitable after midnight)
