Krinker, we all have our own opinions and priorities as to how things should be. That should be respected even if you don't agree. You shouldn't have to talk to someone like that to get your point across. Anyhow....
I wasn't at PVD so i can't comment. Bottom line though, you can't expect to be in front of the DJ and have alot of room. As long as there is space to dance freely somewhere in the club at any time, i think Biggy's promise of 1800 people has worked in creating a better environment for us to party in.
As for less people = less vibe i don't agree unless it's REALLY empty.
I find the vibe at it's best when people have room to dance and bust their special styles, expressing themselves thru dancing instead of being sardined in a sweat pit, feeling like you are in a mosh pit and just kind of dancing in small controlled movements because you don't want to hit people. I don't buy the if it ain't packed the vibe ain't great philosophy.

Aria was not packed at all! I could move arround, dance. It was a bit hot, but that's also common thing for nights like this. U guys who say it was packed never been to Guvernment when any big dj is playing there ,then u'd know what is packed. When it's a big dj it has to be a lot of people coming to see him, otherwise the promoter will never book this dj again. After all it's business, and this how promoters make money.
pvd was not packed. it was ok. the worst packed night was tiesto. if you were there. you should know. that was fukced up.

i can see the concern about an overpacked club. i dont know if you guys heard of this but couple months back @ a club in RI(rhode island usa) burned down while a live concert was held and it was overpacked with people... hundreds died. shortly after that, my friends and i went to PVD @ roxy in NYC and they shut the door at like 2:30 b/c they over packed the place.... my friends and i didnt even get to get in and there were atleast a hundred people still waiting in line. but then again... we had advance tix so we should have been able to get in frist but roxy management sux ass, so im sure we wont have that problem at aria

yeah heard of that, felt terribly sorry. I think if something happened at Aria it would take not to long to empty the place. It has exits in front and back of the club.
The club was far to be over packed and there was alot of room to walk and dance easily, alot of fresh air to breath.
I think the PVD night was really confortable for a PVD show and the place was more than safe since we were under the legal capacity!
Oh and btw, there is about 15-20 emergency exits at Aria and they are all mutli doors exits!

Good to know. Thanks Biggy. I wasn't questioning the club, as I know you are a responsible owner.

My first time at aria was december 13 th to see Tiesto. I thought the club wasnt packed at all LOL!, compared to what I was use too. I have been to the guvernment 6 times and each time was way worse then Aria decemeber 13th... and its funny that people say that was the worst night ever and it was way too packed!.The worst night in Canadian clubbing history was Summer's End Party labour day weekend 2003 (2002 was really bad too). I have never been in a place so overpacked in my life. I was actually scared for our lives. Apparently there was around 12-15 thousand people in the hole complex , maybe more. We got in around 3 am , after waiting in line for 4 hours. The entrance was through Kool Haus. AVB was spinning in the Guvernment. It took us about 35 mins to get there and we had to fight our way. At first The bouncers weren't letting people leave Kool haus. It almost started a riot. Everyone knew AVB was coming on soon and were trying to get there.WE had to squeeze our way through so many people. Once we got to the Guv we lasted about 45 mins and went hom to Kingston after paying 50$ each . I was starting to feel sick due to the lack of air. I actually couldnt brethe. I was totally sober too. I will never go to that place again. I was so fed up with clubs after that night. Im a very small guy at 5"7 , 150 and I always club with my GF whos 5"3 110 LOL. we were thinking about never going to a club again... and then.. we found ARIA.. wohoo best club in Canada .

I heard that those who bought their tickets at $65 instead of $50 would get reimbursed, because admission.com messed up at first with the pricing. I'd call back and bitch them out for screwing things up in the first place. They only had that price for about one day I think.
I phoned Addmissions back and told them what you said and they refunded me most of the difference. I had to pay the services charges. Thanks a lot kate!

yea... what he said... i really do feel that ARIA's management is way above par... esp compared to the managment of NYC clubs. they are pretty much dicks and dont really care as long as they get their money. that is why my friends and i dont mind the 8 hr drive up there b/c we know the club is safe and reliable.... and montreal is a nice fuck'n city to visit.
