Bravo! Well said, my friend. I agree with the enligthened comment, we all need a good dose of it. I remember maximus's words in Gladiator:
"what you do now, will echo in eternity"
chills me to the bone, because in my heart i know that is true. if you die happy or die knowing death is not the end, it will prepare you for the next transition of your new life.

as for soulmate, I'm the opposite, I don't look, the soulmate will come looking for me. LOL the fact is soulmates can be your friends too, I'm sure you have a couple like everyone else.
