There is no comparison to the iPod. Its outstanding.
The only issue with it i have is how it orders tracks - u gotta make up playlists for everything u want played in any type of order - think of them like folders and file listings, coz the ipod doesn't do folders, it just throws everything onto the disk, and relies on the id3 tag to sort stuff...

Slim X is a piece of shit. I have the old 150 and I tried the new one. Batteries don't last long, shitty sound quality, not loud enough, can't play cd's that are just a little scratched. And it's also too big by todays standards. I think my next portable would be a netmd. I tried my brother's Sharp netmd and it had perfect sound quality and also very loud.
u need good sennheiser phones for ur slim x 350 ...

512Mb with USB1 will take ages. 128Mb on my old SoulDigital took like 20mins or so.
The only bad part I find about the iPod is that I cant que a song so that it will play immediately after. Normally I will be driving and would like to que up a few songs.

The Zen isn't a bad, if not heavy and clunky piece of kit, but it IS playing catch-up to the iPod...
