I saw it last night and I was pretty dissappointed.

My friends just say to enjoy the action flick and not get to into it. So here's my quick non-spoiler review:

Definitely a B movie. Lots of action, great special effects, and a cool villian. I liked alot of the action sequences, but thought that some were over drawn. The TX machine is a good mix of new & old, but in the end, just a freshin' copy of the T-1000.

I wanted the WAR! I wanted Armagedon to come and then they spend the next 30 mins showing the complete war during 2032, but no.

The character development was sooo minimal, that you barely got to know whos is who and whos is dying. What was the purpose of Claire Danes's fiance if he is in the movie for 2 mins? I had alot of questions.

As for the ending, I'm not even going to touch. That pissed me off like the Matrix 2.

So in closing, good flick for the summer. Lots of action, hot villian, and it's a Terminator movie. 6/10

i felt it was a remake of T2 under a new director. lots of borrowed scenes. i thought it was a pretty good action movie, the ending was a bit empty tho.

^It's called Rise of the Machines because it shows the development of Skynet to create the earliest forms of the machines. This movie eludes to a possible sequel that I bet will come out and have battle scenes in it.
