Great - let me know when it's ready.

I did my own trance edition too where I switched the breaks to plain 4/4 and messed with the structure a bit... doesn't sound as good as the original tho so I don't know whether I'll upload it at all.

It was good, I rather liked it. The breaks work well in this song. When I listened on speakers the main melody seemed too loud, but on headphones it seemed okay (probably because the headphones drown out the room noise and I can hear the quieter parts better). Great work on the piano, the delay does give it a better sound.

I think I still prefer 'The Remedy' but I'll give this another listen today. I agree that there aren't that many 'breaktrance' songs out there. It's more common to see a trance song that has a small breakbeat part in it, not many go the distance of being entirely breakbeat.

Anyway, I've got some songs like these, I'll list some in case you or anyone else is interested in hearing more of this type of trance:

Arksun - One Day (Original Part 1 Mix)
Mike Koglin - The Silence (Matt Darey's Tekara Mix)
Stage One - Space Manouvres (Total Seperation Mix)
Starecase - Come In

I thought I had more, but I guess not. Anyway... keep up the good work, I'd like to hear more in this style from you.

Thanks for the comments.

Also, thanks to everyone who gave suggestions about more breaktrance tunes, I'll be sure to check them out

Edit:
I've also more or less finished my next tune already (once I get an inspiration I have to milk it while it lasts :P ) but I'm not putting it out quite yet...

this sounds really nice + emotional

i think the synth u have in the beginning leading to the breakdown needs a little bit of reverb, and a small increase in attack as it reaches the 1st breakdown to give it a little more presence

i really like the instrument on the main melody (the plucky string thing), and the melody itself is killer. although i think you should make it stand out more in the mix after the 1st breakdown. i also think you need to add a bar of breaks that is different every 8 or so, to give the beat a little more variety

the bridge @ 5:40 is very cool. i think if you keep that bridge going on its own to go into the 2nd breakdown (instead of laying that synth over it again) and then bring the synth up again within the breakdown, then it will give it that little bit extra

all in all very nice stuff, keep it up

Yeah great stuff. i can only comment on limitetd things as i have not heard much of the type of trance but its still trance at the end of the day. it is not cheesy, i dont know where ppl have got the impression from and the synths are very soothing along with the pads and melody. Very emotional .
