i'm sure many people here would regard it as a sort of trance, prolly something like chilled/chill-out trance.
And as for time signatures and beats...
Trance is 4/4. In fact most EDM is 4/4, but the rhythm of the kick can be different, e.g in Drum and Bass.
Burned with Desire still has the same 32 beat phrase structure that trance has. DnB also follows a 32 beat phrase structure. Remember that there is a distinction between the pulse of the music, and the rhythm of the beat. Trance couldn't be 3/4 (i.e waltz time) as the 32 beat phrase structure wouldnt work.
8 x 3 = 24
8 x 4 = 32
you would be a whole 8 beats behind, and would need to have an extra 8 beat phrase to be in sync with all other trance tunes.
A triplet in music is a bit difficult to explain, but i will try
in 4/4 music, you have 4 crotchets which are worth a beat each
then you have quavers, which are worth half a beat each. so in one bar of 4/4 music you can have 8 quavers.
A triplet is 3 notes in one beat, but the pulse of the music remains the same. Imagine squashing 3 quavers together to make one beat. Something like that. I should know better ways of explaining this since i did music theory
