Just noticed that your all wondering about the Technics CD player. Well I was at Plasa last sunday, its this massive dj/ music technology show, and thats where Technics unveiled thier cd player. They had two on show for the public to touch & have a go on, although they werent turned on, also the new mixer was there.
I had a little go on them and they are brilliant, the jog wheel is fantasic, definitly a rival to the current Pioneers & Denons.
Also they had some very good scratch djs using them to show the public what the can do & they are phenomenol. They are just like vinyl, better than the pioneers & denons because they are based around the legendry 1210's.

Also since we are on the subject cd players. You may want to take a look at Numarks brand new one. Its EXACTLY like a turntable. Its looks indtical to one & even uses a vinyl. Its amazing.

yeah.. hopefully it is just displaying 0.1% increments but is actually changing the pitch more accurately. if it doesnt, it might as well have a clicker to change the pitch by 0.1%. eh oh well, ill always stay true to my vinyl
