Chemical has been taking a bit longer than usual, and my records have been coming from Sweeden. Price is still the same though so I can't really complain.

For people on the west coast, I recommend dancerecords.com. For me, the 20 day wait is just not worth it. I still have yet to try dancegrooves and juno. However, since they got the FedEx and Airbourned Express options, they should be faster and their selection is very decent.

This is a response from Checmical Records on the shipping delays:

Hi, the problem has been addressed

We have recently been using two extra postal services ( Swedish Post &
Swiss Post ) as our mail providers because they were promising a faster
service, however through the feedback we've seen by email and on the
boards this does not seem to have been the case in fact they appear to
have been far slower to certain destinations, mainly the States and
Australia.

As a result we will be switching back to our original providers ( Royal
Mail ) this week, we are also reviewing some extra options for tracked
international packages (these would come in the form of user select
options in the checkout) these would be a guaranteed option and will be a
faster service.

If anyone strongly disagrees that Swiss and Swedish post has been slower
and they have in fact been faster, please forward this opinion to me
[email protected] and we can look at including them in the user
selectable options we are currently developing.

Thanks,
Mark

Wow, talk about great service. Good thing that Chemical takes time to address problems and read user feedback

Shipments from Chemical Records

Hi All,

The problem has been addressed

We have recently been using two extra postal services ( Swedish Post & Swiss Post ) as additional mail providers because they were promising a faster service, however through the feedback we've seen by email and on the boards this does not seem to have been the case in fact they appear to have been FAR slower to certain destinations, mainly the States and Australia.

As a result we have switched back to our original providers ( Royal Mail ) at the begining of the week,

Recently we have been looking at ways to develop a speedier service for all of our International customers. I will say that the system we have used up to now gets results but if you want a quicker service you will get the option to do so in the next month or so.

There will be a shipment option page which will consist of a number of ways for us to send the packages to you. This will include better packaging options & a 24Hour service to many export destinations. All packages will be tracked effectively and the choice will be given to the customer so you will be able to determine the speed of your service.

Thanks Brisky

i don't know when chemical records switched their carriers, but i got my package within a week, i order on a friday a couple of weeks ago, got the package sent confirmation the following monday, and that friday, the records were here... yeah i was also surprised to see some older songs on there, i picked up a copy of veracocha and ayla, watergate (both old cheez i know) but still...very good selection.

on a side not, i loved dancegrooves.com, i placed the order for 4 records with them on that same monday, and the records were here on thursday!!! i was so stoked!!!

also sadly, higher source is going out of business. They have one store in huntington beach, and they have one store in main Los Angeles, very close to the nu-ark cinema. i already went to both the stores and picked up some real gems...all at 50% off!!!

tastexperience - highlander(ralphie b mix, original mix, endgame mix)
york - on the beach
hemstock & jennings - mirage of hope
dj sakin & friends - protect your mind
kontor classics vol. 2: cj stone - infinity, trance allstars - the first rebirth, sunbeam - wake up, and one more don't remember
blank & jones - desire (original, accuface, silverblue)
paul van dyk - columbia EP (for $6.50) only!!
and a few more that i can't remember right now...but yeah, you might wanna check them out

Fuck yeah! Just another reason why I only order from Chemical. Glad they're going back to Royal Mail, never had any problems before they switched.
