OK, finally I can sit down and post my review:
First off, I would like to say it was great meeting everyone, daydreamer, mavo, digitalbreach, vicsnvikes, neogeo, and joker. I'm sorry about not being able to get a picture with all of you, as I will explain later in this review.
The Drive:
9 motherf***ing hours from Austin, TX - 511 miles. It seemed like the drive would never stop. We, my girlfriend and I, decided to take her mustang, and halfway there her Service Engine Soon light came on. It was running fine, so no worries. We were running behing schedule as I was in Houston to get my parents camera at 5:00 and I still had rush hour traffic to go through. It started to rain along the way, but not too bad, and we finally, after 5 bathroom breaks, made it to New Orleans. I was staying at a shitty, cheap hotel for 35 a night and it was not in the best part of town, but was only 2 miles from House of Blues. We arrived at 11:15 and hurried up getting ready. We caught a cab to the HOB, which costs 10 bucks, that was ghey. And on top of that we were in line, and my girl just realizes her ID was left at the hotel. So we caught a cab back and to the HOB again, which ran about 21 dollars this time. So we get in the venue and the party starts.
Armin and TranceAddicts:
As we get inside, I'm instantly greeted by daydreamer and he told me where everyone was at. I quickly grabbed 2 red bull and vodkas and went to meet everyone. A warm welcome it was, and 5 minutes later Armin took stage. He started with the newest Mark Otten single, I later found out, and the party had begun. A couple songs into his set my g/f started to feel pretty bad and I was thinking about going back to the hotel. She stuck it out and Armin played ATRC, our song, and that got her in a better mood. We had to keep falling back to the back of the club, cause you gotta admit the speaker was mega loud, too loud actually, but it was sweet none the less. Armin's mixing was flawless, not one mistake, and now I understand why everyone says they want to mix like him. Wonderful 2.5 hr set and he stayed very energetic throughout. He played a lot of songs I couldn't ID, and everyone was good.
End of show, and meeting with David Lewis:
The crowd was clearing out and near the side bar I saw this man that had been behind Armin most of the night earlier. I walked over there and asked, "Mr. Lewis...David???" My lucky guess was just that and I told him who I was and asked if he remembered my e-mail about meeting up. He did, and we continued to talk for about 20 minutes, until he went backstage to finish up the night. 5 minutes before the gig ended, he asked me and my g/f if we wanted to meet Armin, we thought about it, quickly, and agreed. Went backstage, chatted with David some more, and waited for Armin to finish signing everyone, I mean everyone's tickets, cd covers, pictures, breasts, whatever. He came back, I talked to him about TranceAddict and how much we support him on here. He loves TA, btw, and got some pics and some autographs. He was suprised at how many people on TA were talking about Gabriel and Dresden on his show.(I mean, he actually talked about how big the thread was, so he did read it.) One more thing, he's asked Tiesto 3 times to be on ASOT, and everytime Tiesto denies, he didn't know why. We said our goodbyes, and good lucks and went on out the venue to end the night.
Outside the Club, and the ride home
We couldn't find a taxi for shit, so we had been waiting for a while. Everyone who was outside had left and we were the only ones left except for an oncoming group, thats where I met Joker, briefly. And then, what do you know, Armin and David come out of the club only to get in this girls, really shitty beatup car to go back to the venue. They just hitched a ride with one of the dancer chicks. Funny it was. I then talked to them again, and David offered for us to ride along back to the hotel with them. OK, the fun began, this chick just got her liscense about 3 months ago come to find out and she could not drive worth a shit. She hauled ass everywhere going over bumps really fast, and taking turns really hard. Me and David were looking at each other like WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING??? Armin was in the front saying, "tonight is the night, I am ready to die, what a way to go out!" Joking of course, Armin by the way is a pure GOOFBALL. He was hilarious, a big kid if you may. We finally got to the hotel 10 minutes later, and it was only a block away! LOL. Small talked with the two and let them on their way. The girl then got lost taking us back and, but hey it was free. So that was our night, we came, we saw, we were in the same car as Armin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall:
The mixing was great, the atmosphere was great, only about 150 people in there, and it was a perfect night. He played some wonderful tracks which followed:

Armin van Buuren ft Krezip - Stay
Dj Tiesto - Traffic
Paul van Dyk - Time of Our Lives
Andain vs. Binary Finary - Beautiful 1998 (Made up the name but you get the point.
ATRC - As the Rush Comes (Armin mix)
Scott Bond v. Solarstone - Naked Angel <---So wonderful live, i love this now.
P DIddy ft. Kellis - Lets Get Ill <---Fuckin' killed me, awesome track live, I don't care what anyone says!
Mr. Sam v. Fred Baker - Forever Waiting v. Andain - Summer Calling
MIKE - Turn out the Lights
The Gift - 7th Day<--I think???
...more that I don't remember or don't know the names of.
SOME NOTES:
Mavo, that song you and I were debating was Stay ft. Kresnip, I TOLD YOU!
HE'LL BE IN HOUSTON IN DECEMBER MOST LIKELY AND IT WILL BE AT RICH'S, SAME VENUE WITH OAKEY AND TIESTO AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.
--I asked David to think twice about that, but who knows, it might end up being a nice place.
--Schmuel and Choopie - Sunrising will prolly be on Armada.
--Armin, sadly will not be #1 this year, sorry to say that. (It's true)
...That's about it, WOW, that took forever to write. If I think of anything else I'll be sure to tell. Thanks again everyone for the unforgettable night and see you in Houston in 2 months.
peace.
Steve
