I probably should be, but my recovery period is about 12-24hrs...not very long...Been thinking about taking 5-HTP to help out a bit.

it doesn't matter what kind of recovery ability you have, you're not indestructible. What you can do is ensure your health is good by:

Taking Vitamins. This takes time to kick in. Your body and brain need fuel juices to power its processes. With vitamins, you actually fuel E, it will last longer and you'll have to take less. But you don't give the vitamins time, taking E will just use the fuels up before it can amass in your body. E actually creates vitamin deficiencies in your body. That is something to keep in mind.

Taking synthetic supplements. As you mentioned, 5-HTP is one of them. It is one of the best method to rebuild the damage and keep E from damaging the axons if you take it regularly. Melatonin is good to re-align the production of melatonin in your pineal gland, which E interferes with.

Taking Aminos. Tyrosine is a serotonin booster.

Taking herbals. ST. John's Wort is another serotonin booster. Ginkgo Biloba is another. Herbals still take time to build in your body. EDIT: if you really want the fancy but pricy herbals, get high grade korean and panax ginseng that: boost appetites, rejuvention, and sexual energy (heheh).



Taking supplements and food high in Potassium. This will also prolong and enhance E. Tums is loaded with potassium. You could take it before E.

Just being a good brother. Don't hope for high expectations, it is all incremental. It easier to drop E than it is to discipline yourself to follow a regiment training.

BTW - taking supplements should be done in the morning everyday. For melatonin, you take it before bedtime only. Make sure you do some research before you try it: know the dosages, when to take it, and what does it do for you.

the whole effect of st. johns and e has do with the seratonin replenishing effect of moai's or what most anti depressents are. also known as seretonin builders. take one on your way down after a night of rooling and it should help with the next day blues. this is an old rollers trick ive been doing it for many years but i use prozac instead of s.j.w.

The little problem with that is you can't mix SSRI/MAOI with natural antidepressants. I wasn't about to recommend TC that because he'll have to fake his symptons to his doctor to get prescribed antidepressants. haha

Prozac's patent has ran out. There has been problems with its effectiveness. There were cases of psychotic episodes induced from Prozac use. One of my friend was using Prozac, which made him more panicky and suicidal!!

Your trick with Prozac is effective when you do not take it long before doing E. If you do, Prozac will greatly suppress E's ability to activate the serotonic systems in the brain. Out of curiosty, I tried it to see for myself. I used Celexa (SSRI)for two weeks then drop two hits of E at different time intervals. Celexa flatlined E, all I got was a moderate buzz. From deduction, I understood Celexa's molecular structure is different from E's. So when the serotonic neurons get used to accepting Celexa's molecules, it won't be so compliant with E. The neuronic receptors mimic the structure it receives through transmission. In short, the receptors will take in molecules that are circles but won't take in squares.

This is how detox centres and drug rehab tries this molecule mismatching for drug junkies. Though, they use other kinds of medication not antidepressants.

S-adenosyl-l-methionine (SAMe) is another new and effective over-the-counter synthetic antidepressant.

All those suggestions (herbal, vitamins, and synthetics) are just one method to improve a person's health: emotinally, physically, and mentally. I know another technique that's more advance but very uncommon. The technology is very simple but incredible difficult to apply.
