Thats the only negative thing about the mixer that I have found tho.

I don't think it's bleeding. It's designed that way. It treats the effects channel just like any other channel. And, just like how you can bring up the volume of any channel that's not assigned to the crossfader at any time by using the volume faders, you can do the same by turning up the level of the effects.

This is pretty useful if, say there is a part of a track that you want to insert into the main mix with an effect, but you don't want to bring the whole track in.

I hope I explained that well enough. It was the only way I could think to write it.

I've had this mixer for about 3 weeks now and my imho its mad tight.
Only problems i notice are.

1. The master level doesnt really do anything till you hit about 7-10 on it. Its like 1-6 is non existant.

2. When using the effects it makes the sound louder and you have to back off on the volume or else its just to loud. It takes alot of playing around to get the right level of effect.

Thats all i noticed so far.

Awsome mixer get one yourself!

How are the quality of the faders - and most important, are they replaceable? I play a lot of techtrance/techno and I really enjoy torturing the faders...on my numark 3002X they didn't last for a month...

ahhh dont' want to do that, because those x-fader assigns also assign the kills. and i like the kills, hehe. although they are hard to time right.

another thing: a mic won't work if you have your output from Booth and not Master. and to hear yourself in the mic, you have to press the headphone for the master.

and the master headphone cue button makes your open channel a lot louder in your phones, which is annoying, but there's no reason to use that cue unless you are using a mic really.

Wow. Uxud has a 3002x and we tortured it fairly well (I think, did we?) and they still work perfectly after like a year and a half.

Yeah I have no idea what the deal with everyone saying Numark faders are crap. Me and mike must have used that mixer on average 3 hours a day for around a year and a half (and that's a conservative estimate, we've done like 12 hour marathon mixes before). The fader is still in PRISTINE condition, no bleeding whatsoever.

Why the hell is it that everyone gets their faders trashed so easily? Are you guys like, mixing in the centre of the sun? Or are you like, mixing in a sandstorm in the centre of the Gobi Desert?

I will add an emoticon to signal how confused I am:

I have no idea. Of what I heard Numark adjusted those faults just about a year ago or so. I guess some poor bastards (including me) purchased the mixers before they were fixed.

No fader problems at my place.
Could be the salesman that is full of crap, wanting to sell a more
expensive mixer.
