charmscars...that avatar is hurting my eyes
I'd bet any of you $20, you would NOT figure out I was gay from just meeting and chatting for a bit...
I actually did pick up a guy at Guv't last year (?)...whenever Ferry was here, but not recently, he was on the Gov't side (I think Luke Fair was in Kool Haus). This guy was more obviously "gay", especially since it was him and 3 girls there, lol, and he had no clue I was...we chatted for a bit about music, the club, etc., and eventually I asked him where he hung out (it was his first time at guv), and he kept avoiding the question...but I kept asking, lol...finally, and very uncomfortably, he said he was gay and named off a couple of gay bars...I said I was pretty familiar with them myself and his jaw hit the floor he was so surprised.
Yes, gay guys can be masculine, play sports, like cars, etc. etc. without being in the closet

like charmscars said, if you hang out in certain places, chances are they are gay...many clubs even have a little informal "area" where the boys seem to regularly gather.
At parties with mostly straight people, it's pretty hard unless the other person is more obviously gay. Eventually, if a guy is cool, and I get any kind of gay vibe (don't ask...instinct, lol), I might politely ask if their straight or gay (or even in a roundabout way by asking about a gf, or who they're here with, where they hang out, etc). I wouldn't ask if I wasn't reasonably sure that the other person wouldn't freak out...then again, I'm not exactly little, so I don't worry about myself, but I'd like to avoid a potential "scene".
now...e complicates things...cause everyone is so happy and friendly...so yeah, it's VERY hard at parties. But I don't go looking to pick up anyway...I go to have fun, listen/dance to good music, maybe meet some cool people, etc. Meeting another gay guy would just be a bonus, I guess.

People don't understand. I feel uncomfortable because im gay and to straight people thats either an novelty or a sin. As one boy posted/pointed out here. I personally laugh at straight boys when im out because i feel so bad for women who have to put up with drunken losers going up to them and spitting and getting up on them in their face.
In the gay scene people like to dress up, matchlol, have fun and be as gay or straight acting as they want to be. But in a straight bar you guys have this mentality that is like so brutal and sad. I dont know, ive been with women and i used to be "straight" and the club sence sucks to me...because you can never be who u want to be. And although most of the gay scene is very intimidating, i can go out every weekend and be who i want to be...go regression to something im not.
Vivid Boy, umm...how come women like men? Did u ever think of that and curves are gross...its all a matter of accepting that people might not think or are attracted to the same thing you are. So why would u diss someone because they arent you. And until youre a Black Lesbian Women you will never understand, or a minority for that matter. Youre a white, straight male...think about it. Open your mind and realize the whole world isnt white, or straight or male...
Last of all, chrismack, in the gay scene where do u go in toronto?

WHAAAAAAATTTEVER!!!!!
i dont see the big deal, i can understand some people dont like gay people, some do, if you dont like the sex part just ignore that, but accept them as regular human beings, whatever their sexual prefrence is.!!!
Sexual preference does not make a person diffrent. i have a freinds friend who is gay, he digs brown guys and even asked my friend if i was single. i told him i aint gay!
anyhoo, if i was gay i would form my own alliance.lol
BUT I AM VERY MUCH STRAIGHT, but i will try and adjust to gay people, some guys get very curious from my childhood experience.
Curiosty kills the rat..lol or something along those lines.
any how i accept chris for what he is, not as any diffrent from any other TA.
Like i have prefence in music and food , it doesnt make me want to throw up if i see other food or listen to other music i just adjust to it...other wise i turn it off.

well not including u and me, most brown guys are gay. if they can dance together while humping on one another, and if they tell the women to get the fuk off the dance floor, i call that absolutely GAY.
