haha, it gave me time to think about my next post, i usually act on impulse, writing whatever without a care of the repercussions, and i realised i was becoming as narrowminded as people like melech_mike. a right wing leftist :O

I'd like to change to my approach on this forum, and act as i originally did when i started posting here (2 months ago?) encouraging rapport, and open to different viewpoints. maybe i will learn something

Hm, anyway. Of course it was a stupid debate, cause as I said, once you maintain the debate just for the sake of having a discussion, you've lost the point. I think just as the low level flame wars, these "intellectual" stubborn debates should stop since they're contraproductive.

that's really wierd, a fortnight ago, a close friend somehow contracted meningitis and spent some time in the hospital getting needles in his back, 2 days later i had the same symptoms, medical mum gave me a few antibiotics for meningococcal, i recovered pretty quickly so it was probably only meningism, still scary though :O

about this whole terminology thing, as Yoepus stated, Semitism is the word to describe people of Middle Eastern origin. Bieng from Lebanon, I am a semite. Being from Israel, Yoepus is a semite.
Now, the phrase "anti-semitism" has been used exclusively to describe hate that exists against Jews. TECHNICALLY, because people from the middle east are semites, you could use "anti-semitism" to describe hate for any person from the region, but that is not how it is used regularly in our society.
