Those who don't, have a boyfriend. (Naturally) I gave up on letting love come to me because that doesn't work. I learned I needed to be pro-active to get what I want in relationships and in life. What I dispense now is my perception on how the dating life is from the eyes of a bachelor.

1. It is not about money. Why? Because when you meet a girl, they don't know whether you have money or not. They judge you in 30 seconds and decide whether you're worth their time. I think for most guys the problem is getting their foot in the door. In fact, my friend is always broke and he dates (and sleeps with) more girls than anyone I've ever met or heard of.

2. It's about attitude. Some people call it throwing vibes. Guys who act like they don't give a fuck gets a fuck. It's illogical but it's reality. I can't do this very well. It's not in my personality to be an asshole. I'm humble, cautious and introspective. Guys are littered with personality flaws yet flamboyant and confident enough to mask it gets the girl. Pretend you're watching a movie and you play yourself. And a girl has to pick between you (PG-13 guy) and some Rated-R guy who the audience isn't really sure whether they like him or not. The interesting character is obvious.

3. Don't be a "nice" guy. Nice guy to girls mean you're not the alpha male and subordinate to other guys. DOn't try to be nice all the time. You're either nice or you're not. No point in trying to be nice.

Here's an interesting story. My player friend has slept with 100+ girls and one day he tells me this. He has treated three girls in his entire life like gold. Bought them stuff, acted gentlemanly, prince charming type. Those are the only 3 girls that he ever dumped him. Doesn't make sense. I know the guy well and I believe him but I still don't believe that's the way things work.

i go for nice guys. have confidence and security. dont be fake.

I agree with everything u said..
Totally..
3) was nice until I turned like 25-26... Never got anything good. Was buying expensive gifts, perfumes for them, $$$ dinners, movies, etc, etc... All girls rode me and dumped at the first chance, they I became laid back, just chilled, no presents for girls, no annoying daily love calls and they started calling my casa.. go figure..
And ye, its not about money, I used to sneak out of parents house, take my mom's 5 series bimma and go pick up girls - still no luck.. Past 3 years been driving Diesel VW and that car sat some major a$$ sitting in it... And it's diners, chinese only.. lol.. Japanese sometimes, nothing more..
2) Attitude part - exactly.. its how u present yourself..

I have read on here that some of you have found that special person in another forum member. I was wondering how this worked out for those of you that did.

My problem is that a lot of stuff takes up my time (school, teaching, my other job, etc) and I have found it impossible to meet anyone in quite sometime. I've looked at all those online ads and such cause they worked once for me, but at this point in my life I need to find someone who likes to go out clubbing. Most of the people in those adds say they arent into the club scene, or dont care for electronic music, so no luck there.

When I do get a chance to go out (like to Armin on wed), even though I am in an environment surrounded by lots of girls, I just dont want to come off like one of those assholes in the club that girls always complain about. I have the hardest time approaching anyone.

Working with kids constantly I am not really surrounded by that many prospects. Time feels like it's passing by ever so quickly and there's no one in my life to share it with.

Maybe I'm just venting but I keep telling myself all of those tired cliches (the right person is out there, etc etc). I see all these couples together when I am at the club, I just want to be one of those people.

I dont even know why I wrote this post but it made me feel a little better to type out my frustrations. Can anyone relate to this? I read this message board the most so I figured this was a good a place as any to vent.

The ironic part is that the person I am looking for is someone I've probably seen when I go out clubbing. I just think that it's hard to be a nice guy and find the type of girl I want to be with.

I'm sure things will seem brighter in the morning. Thanks for listening....

I met my current fella through TA, met at a huge ta festival meet, then a few more club nights in london, we clicked the rest is now a month of history.

I wouldnt recommend personal ads. I have never done them so can't really judge but to me it seems a hit and miss way of meeting someone your going to click with. My advise is to carry on what you love doing, your clubbing, vinyl shopping, your cheap travel, because at least then you'll be in the right environment for your recreational/habitual tastes and therefore will meet someone doing the same.

Just dont worry about it, venting on a forum is a good way to get perspective.

I am an optomist but karma tends to shine when the time is right.

Come to the uk at some point, loads a clubbing trance ladies here

I dont know u too well but i can tell u a lot of my guy friends experience your problem.

You definately brought up a good point sayin that youre too busy to just go out and meet ppl, so the internet idea comes up. I must add though, I would stay away from those online single ads because the ppl on there are most likely in your exact same position and live very busy lives. . . . unless you want to date someone that is busy like u, then go for it. I myself dont see anything wrong with meeting someone online because this world is way too big to limit yourself to the women in your local area, especially if you live in a very small town or if you simply just dont fit in. Just dont use the net because ur too lazy to date a woman properly.

Many of my friends have a hard time finding a woman because they are either too picky, too arrogant, too ignorant, too desperate . . .etc.

If you REALLY absolutely need a special female companion, i would advise you to look at your current lifestyle because you're gonna have to make some sacrifices. Ideally, you shouldnt have to give up anything for someone, but in the real world, you're gonna have to sooner or later to make things work.

there is this one particular website that i frequent all the time. Its aimed at men of all ages but mainly to unmarried guys. They have great articles on just about every topic about related to men regarding the latest styles out, sexuality, dating, understanding women, and all the "how to"s you can imagine.
AskMen.com

If you still cant find anyone, then i suggest you hang out with all of us TAs whenever you can. I meet a lot of ppl when i go out and usually introduce everyone to everyone so its all good.

Worse case scenario. . . .if you STILL cant find a girl, talk to Porky. He knows the most girls ive ever seen . . .besides hugh heffner. just look at his friendster page!!! WAHHHHHHH
/me so envious
