I know that would be cake to do in something like Absynth or Atmosphere.

I have about every VST that's out there! No, I'm just kidding. Absynth is ok, I also use Reason, z3ta and the rest of NI stuff.

Benefits or disadvantage by doing this in real time wasnt the issue here. I could go on about benefits of using drumkits within the NN-XT, and the almost non-existent resource a real time reversed snare would use. But what struck me, was your ability to answer this guy, when you do not know anything about the question he asked.

Cheers.

I think you're confusing me with the guy who said it couldn't be done in Reason. I have never even seen Reason used, let aloned used it myself, so I feel no need to be spouting anything Reason-related off. I think my tip about external processing was as non-specific as you can possibly get, and would equally apply to anyone using Buzz, Fruity, Reason or anything else. There's no need to be defensive.

Gamemaster 2003 synth is EASILY recreated with the Spectrasonics Atmosphere.

Take the Synth Bass -> Super Moog Bass preset, and bring Bank A (Hi Moog 3OSC Wide) down an octave. Tweak the cutoffs a little bit and you get the EXACT sound.

the Spectrasonics Atmosphere, is it VST or something like that to use in Fruity Loops? Is it free or something that needs lots of money...

care to explain why you think this is the best thing to do?

I guess it's a matter of taste more than anything, but especially for my kicks I like to get them sounding the way I want them to sound before throwing them into the mix. For whooshes and other effects I usually process them externally until I get the sound I'm after, and then throw them through some extra delay in the mix to let them sit a bit better.

To all the pepole who I've promised tutorials for, I promise I'll get them done after exams. I really need to pass my courses this semester =P
