Dear, if you're going to be that way go the the GU forums. They "understand" your "progressive" "essence".
Calling a genre "progressive" is like calling a genre "hard" or "deep". Hard or deep what? |
well let me throw an example go to www.releaserecords.com check out new releases.. why is it they have whole section called progressive, and whole different section called house and trance??? are they just as clueless as me ??

so what would you call john digweed as a dj?? Progressive house dj or a progressive trance dj?? or would he be called a Progressive house and trance dj if he plays both sides of the field as you state and thats called progression well wouldnt it be easier to label it progressive and no just say well im a prog house or a prog trance dj but i still play both. Like i said Prog tunes can be all over the board it can be as slow as 115bpm and as fast as 135bpm , it can be trancy , tribal, breaks, deep, housey, techy, etc but if these djs will play tunes that are all these different genres why would they be called a progressive dj?? its because progressive is not a direct sound its a vibe and mood setting tracks give out when played. Thats why djs like sander, sasha, digweed, jimmy they dont call them house djs or trance djs youll never see that why its because they arnt house or trance djs they are progressive djs. but whatever u guys have simply other views but ill garentee more you guys get into progressive scene youll understand what i mean when its more of a mood and vibe setting more so then a direct sound in a track.
