Did you guys hear any of the other sets from that party? Maybe the booth sound wasn't set up well. I've played plenty of parties where the set up was half-assed and it was impossible to tell if my beatmatching was decent or not. Chances are that this wasn't the case, but you never know.

Also, what really matters about the performance was how well the crowd enjoyed it, not how well people enjoyed sitting in front of their computers paying anal attention to the beatmatching. I'm pretty sure that my technical skills are better than Tiesto's, as are many peoples, but that doesn't make me a better DJ.

Agreed.

Add Sasha, Diggers, and James Zabiela to the list. From what I can tell by listening to broadcasted sets, Gabriel and Dresden have top knotch technical skills as well.

lets not forget, even though they are professionals at what they do, they are only human. People make mistakes ok. They cant please everyone, and if your going to bitch about a dj making it number one and then not puting out a set to your liking. Then I would like to see you try to start djing and then get to #1 and then you can talk smack all you want.

Hype is arguably the world's best Drum&Bass DJ

Producer Plays anything from minimalist techno to hard acid techno to breakcore to 200bpm stuff, and mixes it perfectly (I could up a short sample from one of his sets if need be)

Sy is a Hardcore/Old Skool DJ who is perhaps one of the most talented scratchers ever, again I can get a sample at some point if there's a need for it.

As much as I love trance DJs and the like, if you hear some of the tricks these other DJs can do, you do wonder how good they are im comparison, and i do love the trance mixes, but there's not always a lot going on. As for Deep Dish, anyone can beatmatch at 130bpm
