very informative and friendly thread.

btw skazi is nuts. must be so much fun to see a live performance.

btw how accurate is this for a generalization? seems to me that israel, brazi and japan aside from india of course has a greater concentration of psy/goa.

How about naming some psy/goa classics? Would be interested to look into that.

Gil posts his current favorite tracks over at http://www.goagil.com/chart.html so you can check that out if you want some more recommendations.

Most of the artists I've already mentioned in this thread qualify as a bit of both goa and psy, so they aren't too useful in distinguishing the genres. If you want to do a simple one-to-one comparison, compare "Astrix & Atomic Pulse - Scientific Reality" (psy) to "The Nommos - Djembe" (goa). I realize it's a vast oversimplification to try and pigeonhole entire genres into two songs, but I think the comparison might be useful nonetheless.
hey, i took your advice ! i got some Goa Gil, lol but i hated it !!! but at least i know now. However, it was very interesting to see the guy himself and read the little speal of his life. His parties sound awesome !!! But damn, when i think of electronica dj's, a picture of him would be the last thought ever !!! thanks for the recommendation none the less.
