I had heard that the club boa was designed w/ stereo (in mtl) as it's inspiration. if that is the case, if the soiund is anything like stereo's it will be incredible. stereo has by far the best sound I have ever heard. I much prefer it to Guv's phazon. I don't know why it's better- matt was saying something about it being analog and phazon being digital.

One of these days I should check out stereo...but we always end up at Aria, and after Aria, we don't have the stamina to go anywhere else that weekend.

Aria did some upgrades as well, and I was absolutely in AWE of the quality. I've never heard anything sound so good. It was orgasmic. Records that I'd play at home sounded like ones I'd never heard before - every little aural intricacy was audible.

I haven't heard Boa, but nothing in Toronto compared to what I heard at Aria. The only thing that I thought came close to the crispness of the sound was the basement of Element.

you would love stereo. If you could get over the house or prog that they would be playing, you would love the clientele and the sound. The clientele is older and gayer and glowsticks are not permitted, lighting is minimal. I like both aria and stereo tho, both amazing clubs.

My theory is that people are busy watching the Leafs. Wait till the playoffs and they will die and clubs are busy again

if someone put a club together w/ great guest DJ's, great residents, and an amazing sound system like stereo's *swoon* ppl would come. You only get back what you put in. It also has to do w/ what ppl want- musically.

LOL. I was there at the sweaty Nick Warren Show too. Although it was hot I managed to stick it out for quite awhile... mostly because I was so curious to see what was under the pounds of pancake makeup that most of the female clientele (read:the ripper girls) were wearing. Dabbing their faces with napkins to try and prevent the loss of their faces in the heat was too good to miss. Immmmmmmm melting. I agree with your clientele comment ...I can do without the roids and their fake boobjob honeys. Most of them were asking the question..who is Nick Warren?...I am here for the atmos. *sigh* But if the club needs them to keep itself running and providing the dollars to allow for international DJs to enter its doors...I can dance around them. la la la.

You will keep me coming back to your bar if:
1) the music is the focus (soundsystem and DJs)
2) there is a dancefloor that leaves you space to dance so you can
actually enjoy yourself. The Guv lost me years ago.
3) a decent place to chill if I need to rest my feet (sad I
know...but I am getting old ...but won't let it get the best of me
I promise)...and by lounge I don't mean a nasty stripper VIP pit
(cause heaven knows after only 20 minutes of dancing in those 4
inch heels they are bound to be looking to rest their feet

Don't get me wrong I like female strippers just as much as the next girl. But I will go to the brass rail to see that shit. speaking of which... its lunch time...Rail gets busy right about now. gotta run. later.

Since I used to promote for Lotus I have to disagree. The clientele there was actually pretty fuckin good and I don't see whats wrong with women lookin good, even if a boob job and makeup makes them look good. I don't understand why people think that a good lookin crowd is a drawback. A good looking crowd draws people to the club, money and then good DJ's. It's not a drawback!
