I dont think anyone is arguing that. Obviously if you make that "list" you've got some skills. But i do agree with Shawzy (Matt) that it is mostly a popularity contest. I saw Green Velvet twice. He was shitty the first time (@ Summers End 2002) and pretty good the second time (@Smirnoff 2002). Hes one of those guys you either really like or dislike and arguing over this is as pointless as starting another trance vs. prog thread. I love some of his productions (La La Land, Genedefekt) over played, but still wicked to groove to! It seems to me he tries too hard to entertain during his sets rather than focus on stringing together a technically balanced set. Mrs. Spice, why dont you save you fingers the trouble and stop trying to convince people to change their minds about this guy and go enjoy his set @ System with or without TA's in your presence.

More people like him than Rank 1? Based on what? Dj Mag's top 100 list?? That list means NOTHING to me and a lot of other people on this website so when you try to compare popularity between GV and any other dj on that list or ask how come we don't like his style/sets/live PA's it doesn't matter. If you like him, good. Go see him. Have fun. I won't go see him. But trying to convince people that he's good when you base it on a poll that's a popularity contest and asking why people aren't into a certain style (it's personal taste) doesn't make sense. This is the reason that the "which dj is better" fights always start...

oh and im not saying he's better or worse based on any list. just how many ppl like the dj. tiesto is number one. but i think cox is a much better dj. ive already said this. yet somehow nobody understands and you guys keep saying that im basing skill on djmag.
