Edit: I "moved on" to prog and breaks a while ago. Oddly enough, I didn't leave trance behind.

there's trance, there's prog, neither one is better, there's no "evolution" from one to another, so why is this thread attracting people that are bashing either trance, prog, or techno? when you say "almighty trance is the best, prog sucks" you're the same elitists who say that trance sucks and prog is the best. hypocrisy at work.

it's not that trance is boring... most trance productions are horrible.. yes even those many consider genius... for example M.I.K.E... prog has better production and is much more original and interesting in the field of electronic music. techno, house, trance, prog etc are all electronic.. and prog is the best so far.. there are some good trance melodies but all in all they're all cheap.. some don't even need any musical knowledge or study..

those who don't like prog but love trance.. do this...

1. listen to your favourite trance album..

2. listen to balance 005 by james holden

3. decide what was better...

4. come back and post what you thought..

oh yeah and please do not listen to anything that is not really trance but borderlines it.. only the real trance...i am talking about the songs with the repetitive 4/4 kick...

actually when you think about it i find people who play all real instruments in their music i respect more than computer music program nerds who took some music theory lessons and have a good sample source of have lots of money for hardware...
