seems this board is ran with power hunger...honestly its fine although most of the names up for nominee's are fairly new to this section i'd like to see where MIZZUNO and PHOTON(dennis) are. they were here longer than I was but seem to be weeded out by the new comers. they decided to slowly move away from the boards. What happen to TWILOGODDESS? she would be a decent mod, like anyone else who was around when this board became what it is.

ian is doing whatever he is doing, it still does not affect this board, we still have our board, and we still represent NY//DC//BOSTON +surrounding areas properly. My only gripe about this board is that we have 3 sticky's that basically ask the same thing: WHERE THE HELL DO YOU LIVE!

I mean I dont want to sound biased but this board is full of it lately. Im saying this only because with all the chitter chatter on these boards there is still a 7th degree of seperation here, i witnessed it and im sure alot of old schoolers see it. trance in general is what we are here for. whether we support these popular DJs or local DJs or even make 5000 PVD Threads, lets get real and keep the boards tight.

Ran w/ power hunger, or do you mean an over-consuming ego?

Sure there could be improvements, there's ALWAYS room for them, but it appears that TA's heirarchy follows the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" mentality... which is fine by me, btw, as it's not MY goal to generate interest or web traffic to this site. (Creativity and ingenuity don't seem to be very welcome or needed qualities here.)

Most of my friends wonder why I still post here and I usually don't have an answer for them when they ask. The only real reason is that I enjoy spreading the gosphel of trance and other electronica genres in which I can associate.

creativity and ingenuity is not the focus of this forum. we are here to express our interest in the electronic dance music community. if you have been here long enough to know that there are some HIGHLY talented artist that frequent this site, from web designers to producers to business and management people. the fact that delegating moderator seems to spark the interest of "regional leader" inwhich one may not rightfully deserve so. i see people who start such threads only seeking a republic vote. there is no majority in delegation of forum leaders. it is not who is most involved in the website or who acclaims a postwhore status.

as per what your friends think and what you think, if you let their influences persuade u to not post here then I believe you are here for the wrong reason. its as simple as "jumping on the bandwagon" im not pointing fingers at you or anyone but the fact of the matter is that if enjoying the music isnt ur main focus of visiting this website then I think you have subjected yourself to criticism. dont get me wrong, we all have lives outside of TA and trance as a music genre, but please dont use that to justify reasoning to not post here. you can drum up many threads about people seeking personal advice about their life, some who have been affected determentally and others who look for love and support. hence the chill out room with many OFF TOPIC threads.

here in the NY Forum there seems to be a large popularity contest. its great to meet all the new people who join for the love of such, but i begin to think how important it is to people for being a moderator. if you look at the appropriate thread in which Ian has posted, many people voted for I, but I dont see how I should be deemed fit to hold such title. Yes I am involved and yes I like trance, but like i stated before, there are many before me who should be delegated such responsibility.

although our forum has seemed a bit "pro" certain DJs, I'd like to see the emergence of character in each of these screen names. im not asking people to post irrelevant material but at the same time I seek such attitudes as AMDMAXX. I rarely see anyone else post funny jokes without crossing the boundaries of insult. Yes some rag on each other some dont but I find it moreso in those who have been here longer. I dont know I just have my certain feelings about the attendees of this site. I question their motives and their reasoning to belong to tranceaddict.com. however I overlook this knowing that they are here for the music, but by demonstration of threads like this, I only seem to contradict myself. This is something that no one speaks out on yet it remains rampant through out boards. stop and look and see what we are about.

Myself, DJ Tek, Victor Dinaire, and many up n coming DJs promote their local events incooperation with tranceaddict. you can ask del/swamper, prior to the TFST Launch I requested an ok from Del to use Trancaddict as our support for our party and he more than welcomed us. Yet as we fully support the website and the users in the regional forums, we tend to see the total opposite in return. You look at threads only to find certain people posting in them. Victors Party, TFST's Party, DC's Party, Boston's Party, all contain their own people who support each movement. Yet when each party involves the whole website in its entirity, only a select chose to participate. Now I understand that most people are not able to get into 21+ clubs or drive down to NY or DC or Boston for a local party but for those who are local and do not support, I frown upon. Yes we all have our own lives, I'm just stating that its OBVIOUS when you dont participate yet you want to be a moderator leader.

I will agree with you now if you have read my entire post but yes my opinion has been stated, you do not have to agree or disagree with what I say, just know that I stand at this only for the fact that I feel im voicing what the truth is. alot of people may criticise me but you know what ill take all criticism intended, just know that I am able to say what alot of other people dont want to say.
