I'm pretty much neutral unlike most people here, who seem to be anti-Bush. I dont vote for president because I truly believe that the congress and not the president has the real power. No matter what he said you he would have received a bashing on this forum anyways so hes in a no win situation.
I'd just like to know what Bush was supposed to say according to everyone's views here? He talked about Iraq like he was supposed to, tried to tie it into the terror tree, said hed give any reasources needed, they'd stick to the june deadline, they would be in a supporting military role to provide security to Iraq, the iraqi council would rule until they have elections in 2005, etc. Sometimes he stumbled a bit with the questions from reporters but you try talking to millions of people with questions on the spot while also not trying to give away classified info.
To me it didn't seem too bad of a speech, he didn't admit mistakes like most wanted but did anyone really expect him to so that John Kerry could jump all over those with his campaign this year?
Also I don't see why everyone is jumping over the only probush supporter on here. He likes GWB. So what? Sure its debateable why we went to Iraq and wether it was under false pretences but its too late now, its done and we are there so we have to finish it.
