You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.

Well, I'd tend to disagree. Level 1, for example, is certainly better than level 9. Besides, I'm pretty sure that the original intention of Dante's work was to say that not all sins carry equal weight, and that for some people willl be punished more than for the others.
