woaaahhh. bit of an essay digdug.

the thing is their is sucvh a variety in trance that of course ppl are gonna try and seperate different sounds. None of the trakcs mentioned in this topic could be classed as hard trance tho. As i said before u can not pigeon a single dj into a single genre its all arbitory. Picotto is not PURE techno the following have trance elements:

Back to Cali
Pulser
Save a soul
Lizard
and countless remixes

i do agree that genre bashing is demeaning. ive got an open mind to most styles of edm but i also know what i like

thats right, i am a tranceaddict in training...and i've prolly lost all rights to move forward as a tranceaddict cause i've lost respect for trance.

it seems that sandstorm03 progresses further into the disunity bewteen trance and techno lovers on a more personal level. its kinda sad when u have to start attacking an individual cause u have a different opinion. oh well, i kinda would expect that from someone like you

but after listening to electronic music for 8 years and spending thousands of dollars on vinyls and Technics, i think i've earned the fucking right to voice my opinion

it doesn't matter to him, so I wouldn't try if I was you. As long as that registered sate is there, he'll use that against you.

hehe, I was trying to think of a dj sandstorm likes, so then I could say he would make fun of them if they just registered, but all I ever hear is him raggin on djs.

so wtf do you like?

*prepares full attack on whoever it is*

OMG!! you guys are so way off the mark. Tech trance is real, alive and well, and if you knew your music well enough you would know that Danny Howells brought out a CD called "tech trance" on the ministry label way back in 99 with producers like Planisphere, Ylem, Red Shift and a whole lotta others who have been making tech trance for donkeys years. Oliver Lieb wacked out a CD called "Phuture Tech trance" in 2000 on the Phoolish records label. These are just two that spring to mind. If you ever get a chance, get over to Goa and check out there notion of what trance is, combine that with the electronic twists, rifts and intelligent loops that we know today, and presto.....tech-trance. Anyone heard of Tsuyoshi Suzuki? the master of tech trance
