Ok, after sleeping some 10 hours, I'm now ready for a full review.
Massive props to Pat for setting up the majority of this party: the venue (Terrace @ Space feel <- awesome), the equipment (very nice), the lighting (quite a step up from our ghetto christmas light job at the clubhouse ) Also big thanks to Phil, he helped out a lot cuz I couldn't. Thanks to Myles, Danny, and Aman (I think?) for letting us have the party up there.
When I arrived I was very impressed with how it looked with everything set up. Pat's roommate was playing some house that was ok. Then Phil & Greg hit the decks for a tag-team set that warmed things up nicely. Then after eating a couple burgers (thanks to Damon for taking over the grilling btw), I hopped on the decks. I'm not gonna say my set was good or bad, I'm indifferent, but here's the tracklist if I remember correctly:
1) Sander Kleinenberg - Venus & Mars
2) Piece Process - Solar Myth (Markus Schulz mix)
3) Blackwatch & Greed - Gentle Rain (Blackwatch Jacked Hi mix)
4) Probspot - Blueberry
5) Thomas Penton - Dominica
6) Element N - On A Mission (Freeloader mix)
7) BT - The Great Escape (Attention Deficit's Freewill Vocal mix)
8) Agnelli & Nelson pres. Ultra - Holding on to Nothing
9) Robert Nickson - Spiral
10) Waterplanet - Introspection (John Askew mix)
Next up Arturo, funny as hell when he pulled a Tiesto (music cut off and he was still jamming to the headphones), good set with the exception of Wundervoll actually if there was a dub it would be a good song. Oh, unfortunately during my set and Arturo's the volume had to be kept way down thanks to a friendly visit from the po. Sorry Pat if I was a bit of a deusch cuz of that, but the volume level was sad for sure.
Then Pat played an awesome set as usual and the volume started to move back up (coincedence? ). Following Pat was the highlight of the night: Suzy Solar, this was the first time I've heard her play live and was definately impressed, great energy as well bouncing around behind the decks. My non-TA friends who had never heard of her also enjoyed.
Finally Jeff and Hope arrived (cheating the pass-out poll by arriving late ) and Jeff goes on after Suzy with a proper follow up, probably the best set I've heard from him, of course that's part because he played one of my favorite songs of all time - "Jan Johnston - Flesh)"
Myles came on next with another enjoyable classic trance set... aaaaaah, gotta love the classics. During his set the sun came up making this a very nice sunrise sessions reminiscent of the terrace at Space. He ended his set with For An Angel and then the decks where open, the sun was rising... I knew what I had to do!
I get on, despite SRD (stupid random drunk) guy, and mix in PVD - Crush (Vandit club mix) OMG, a little overplayed I know, but it owns so much, I was bouncing around like a mad man. Suzy then closed it out with a few more classic tracks and owned the last TAs standing.
Big thanks to Suzy & Brian for coming out, very cool. It was great to see the whole O-town crew as usual: Pat, Sara, Phil, Jeff, Hope, Rachel, Neil (first time!), Ben, Lani. The Miami crew: Arturo, Harold, Damon, Felipe, DA. and others: Maciej, Brent, Ginger, Cyn, Greg, Matt. It was also nice meeting both Ambers for the first time
Another successful FLTA party going down in history, and a proper goodbye to Sara, even though we all wish you didn't have to go.
