Hello everybody. What is a Gino?
There hasn't been any Gino's since the end of the 70's to early 1980's!
If you wanna find a Gino nowadays, you'll be looking for someone in his 50's or 60's (babyboomers). And their cars were definately not Asian. Your looking at Tranzams, Camaros, Roadrunners....any big american muscle cars.
FYI, the New Camaros and Tranzams are no longer made for Ginos! Anybody driving an Asian car and dares to call himself a Gino deserves an asskicking (beggin your pardon). How do I know? 2 of my much older cousins are real Gino's and I can prove it. The Tranzams and Camaros have been restored and are relics of a time gone by.
A Gino is a way of life. and btw, for those of you that posted the Fonz-->in real life he's Jewish and so was Andrew Dice Clay....and that's as close to a Gino as you can get. Anybody remember the Rocky movies with Sylvester Stallone and his tranzam working a crap job in the day. Teh, even they are gone now! Get the picture? But here's the true meaning....anybody could be a Gino back then, but you had to prove it by backing up your toughness (not running) when the challenge came. And it was not even about losing a fight/challenge. There is no sucha thing as a Gino today listening to trance or Euro because a real Gino thinks it's gay. My cousins say it all the time.
What you see at plastique today is not a Gino/Gina. It's just spoiled rich italian brats that think they are real Italian because they dress the same, think the same and have no individuality. And they are all delusional. That's the reality. Please don't misunderstand my intentions---I'm just generalizing on the misconception of todays reference to a Gino/Gina. After all, I am Italian...but not spoiled or a Gino.
So to clarify...Forza Italia does mean strength and the many other things mentioned earlier, if you would say it in English it's like saying Go Leafs! Go!. So, Italians sound proud, but why shouldn't they be? The Portuguese say Viva Lu Portugallo--It's the same thing. The Greeks have their own too. Remember the Danforth last week. It's a European tradition, and that all it is.
BTW a real Gino was a real proud Italian/Greek/etc. that worked hard at a bottom rank dirty hands job and came home showered, changed clothes thinking he/she was all that (jeans/black boots/black leather jackets ...LOL it was like they were imitating early 50's rock'n roll rebels), slicked his hair with pomade/brelcream and went out to dance disco or slipped his 8track of undefined Euro music (remember Euro dance didn't really come out until after mid 80's) and no Gel till the mid 80's too. But for those that think bcuz an Italian says Forza Italia that makes them Gino's--Nope it doesn't.
And to those who claim to be Italian's and you were born here. No offence but your not. Actually what you are is a 1st+ gen mangacake. And that goes for anybody else that has lived most of their life here Greeks plus other Europeans included. BTW, I can be a proud Italian, bcuz I speak, read and write Italian correctly and fluently. And I also speak my English fluently with no accent. So if you are a real Italian, you must know how to read, write and speak(without an accent)the language first. Then you can claim to be a true Italian or true whatever (guess that rules the plastique kids out). I know what most of us really are, We're all a bunch of Multicultural tranceaddicts here and What we need to do is find a new definition to stereotype those ppl you think are Gino's today but are not. So let's get those suggestions now....I suggest we call them the McCain Italians...wink, wink......Imitation Pizza anyone?
