Well, at least I haven't noticed him playing minimal before.. I can imagine him playing a bit more minimal at the beginning of longer sets, though. I'm not that much of a fan of Liebing, so I'll admit I don't know everything about him or his sets 
It's just a bit too obvious to me that Liebing, who is as you will agree undoubtedly not too well known for playing minimal to most people, is releasing a minimal-influenced CD just at the very moment in time that minimal is really getting 'mainstream' attention (as an example, Awakenings Festival had a separate minimal stage this year, last year they had an electro stage, a style which was quite popular back then).
Each to his own of course, and I am not blaming him in any way for doing it, I just found it to be quite particular.
To aspergian: Not too fond of those Hawtin albums, but I haven't heard them in a great while, maybe they'll appeal to me more now, since my preferences are always changing.. Thanks for mentioning them anyway.
