Last night was crazy. We lost power three and a half hours before the storm hit Orlando. 5 PM!! We played Monopoly though until it hit. Omg, talk about scary. The winds were howling around 90-100 mph, we were watching near the doors, and everytime a gust came, the doors literally would push back in my direction, shaking. I was watching out the back, my brother out the front, because our oak trees in our neighborhood were bending nearly to the ground. I was terrified one of the limbs was just going to break off and come crashing into the house.

Thankfully though, howling wind, shaking doors, and a lot of rain is all we got. Friends of ours living room is completely flooded. Hope all you guys are alright. Our power came back on sometime in the middle of the night.

that hurrican was a fucking pussy. a little wind alot of rain, big freakin deal. ok so we lost power for about 14 hours. and it was hard to sleep without the TV on. oh well. my next door neighbors had a tree fall in their driveway and there are alot of leaves and little branches everywhere.

but seriously, i know some areas got it worse than others, so i hope everyone is OK!

Wow I'm finally back, the storm hit me decently. The storm gutter around my house is flapping around, and some trees were uprooted and my bed room leaked a little. The worst I had it was having no power for 4 days. My whole zipcode was a ghost town. For 3 days.

But my dad's house was hit pretty bad, they're roof tiles were EVERYWHERE and their solar panels got torn of the roof.

Some places around me still don't have working street lights. Heck, when I was driving around the day after the storm, major intersections didn't have signals.

But everyone is ok. I was chillin at my cousin's house for 2 days.

I hope everyone else is doing good.

College Park is pretty trashed, lots of severely damaged homes, courtesy of the majestic dance of Charley and the Giant Oaks. Other than that, no power for up to a week. Joy!

I'm just very thankful that not many people got hurt. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Punta Gorda, but perhaps we'll start to take these things a little more seriously in the future.

My best wishes go out to the families put in harms way by Charley.

BTW, James, how was that party? A bit of radio silence since the storm...

I live in Lakeland (Polk County Area) and luckily we didn't get hit hard besides some heavy rain and powerful wind. Acouple trees fell down around the lake and around the city but we didn't get it as hard as other cities in Polk like Haines City and Lake Wales. Some major damage in those areas esp the Mobile Home communities. Hope everyone in FL is ok!
