Yeah I noticed you seemed to give up on arguing w/ people. I browse this forum a lot, but choose not to post because well, there are too many idiots here that ignore what you say and start flamin ya just because they like something else or don't agree. I personally listen to everything [in the EDM scene that is], trance a bit more than anything else, but still everything.

I'm with Radagast. I just don't see a point in listening to what we call trance. Most of it is kiddie uplifting bollocks that follows the same pattern. But that's just my opinion.

(btw, yes, I'm a proghead after listening to EDM for just 1 year)

After listening to trance for 4 years the recent stuff just doesn't interest me in the least

No, you think you are those things because you've had the sudden revelation that trance is formulaeic, kiddy and whatever the hell else you want to think. You're not just saying "trance no longer appeals to me", you're saying "trance is crap because it's simplistic and formulaeic". And that's quite frankly bullshit. You don't stop liking a type of music because you realise it isn't fucking Mozart, unless you're elitist, which you evidently are.

I personally listen to all sorts of music, from epic-trance to ambient, to nu-metal and classical, with just about every form of EDM thrown in. Some genres I don't like, but I'll happily admit to listening to Sash!, Limp Bizkit, Eminem and 2 Unlimited, not because I think they're inspired music-making, but because I enjoy their music. And anyone who thinks I should be flamed for liking those artists can go fuck themselves right now.

I don't know where you've been, but I remember when there were threads popping up rather consistently about how trance sucks and progressive is what true EDM lovers listen to.
