Wake up to yourself you twat!
We've heard it all before. English beat some shit country and all of a sudden they are world beaters, this applies to every sport, only to come to Australia, get their backside spanked, and return home with their tail between their legs, then change captains and sack the coach.
I just hope for the sake of English cricket they actually win a game this time, and don't give up after the first day of ashes cricket. |
just keep that attitude up, you'll look even stupider IF we beat you. I'm not saying we will, but believe me, with the arrogance shown by you about the aussies I really would love to see us beat you, and then rub it into your face. Yes you've dominated the previous era, but you do not have an All Rounder of the quality of Flintoff, a young fast bowler with the Pace of Harmison and we have many more young talents just waiting to get into the team. So we've beaten 'shit' teams, well the West Indies weren't shit when they hammered you all the times in the 80s were they ? The time that Walsh took 7 wickets for 1 run comes to mind too.
As i say, just keep the arrogance up, please, then you will look like the big slack gash that you are when we at least compete with you. I don't have anything against the aussie side, infact I have a fair few cousins & relatives there, but it doesn't mean I cannot believe in my country, and it's that fact that most people have got to realise that nothing comes without belief.

God I'd love to put a wager on.
England have a mental block about beating Australian teams, you tend to completely shit yourself, and cricket is probably the most primae example of this.
Next we have excuses, after you lose of course, about no English people caring about cricket, the fact only rich upper class types play the game, its about as predictable as England thinking they can actually beat a world class side.
Flintoff, the boy with no technical skill, is going to get smashed when he comes to Australia. I predict an early exit on a stretcher.
And Harmison? Give me a fucking break. One hit wonder, you won't even remember his name next year.
We've seen it all before, and the main thing that stays the same is the English getting thrashed.

Well we will find out won't we. Freddie is technically superb now, his only weakness would be the slower ball when he's set, Harmison has been bowling superbly in the Mid 90s in the last year, and has really improved masses after being injured, when he was sent to train with his boyhood heroes, newcastle united football club and he saw how much dedication to training & fitness it took for them, and he's done it himself. We have Ian Bell who's made 70 on debut last test, Jones who's as good a wicket-keeper batsman as Gilchrist and scores quickly and all I expect in the next ashes is to just prove you wrong in some of your points, I want us to compete as every true englishman does, I want us to win against you consistently and I think we're as close now to doing it as we ever have been. Time will tell, but I just hope in 12 months time you can admit that we surprised you
