Well, yeah, identifying the problem is the simple part that anyone can come up with. How to solve that problem, that's the real question. Perhaps providing massive childbearing subsidies and starting large scale programs which would encourage people to have more children is a solution, but such solutions cost a lot of money. Masses, on the other hand, are pretty short-sighted, and if they need to choose between such options on one hand, and minor tax cuts and immigration on the other, most of them will selfishly choose tax cuts, with immigration as the necessary evil. However, reactions often come late, and when that happens, they're usually overreactions. So it may be possible that when immigrant population will rise enough to become a significant percentage of population, that the people will then become more aware of their national status and start voting for far right parties, breeding more children, banning imigrants, and perhaps even chasing away already naturalized citizens of foreign descent. Hopefully it will not come to that, but that's kinda how those things usually go (take Serbia and Kosovo, or Macedonia as examples).

Immigration itself it not the problem: there's nothing wrong with a few thousand per year. What's going on now is not immigration, but invasion... there are millions of them.... and that's not right. The invasion should be stopped today and foreigners encouraged to go home (with money).

I wouldn't call that invasion, because for you to be invaded, you should at least try to oppose the invaders. So far the immigrants are not forcefully entering the EU, and therefore there can be no talk about an invasion.

a. you come from sweden, you have thousands of years of deeply rooted culture and history to be proud of. Canada is 150 years and we are deperately trying to keep whatever culture we have developed because thousands of people from all over the world who are comming yearly. Canadians are far too passive, they let foreigners keep their culture and what happens is you get pockets of foreigners scattered throughout the country. I find it has created a somewhat cold atmosphere, sort of a coldness and a tension between people. I cant tell you the number of intercultural fights i whitnessed when i was in highschool.

b. Because even though they may obey the law as much as the country's old citizens, sometimes comming in they may ask to change laws or vote in favour of ideas that reflect their own culture.

Sweden has thousands of years of culture, that is true! But do we have to be proud of that? And do you honestly think that the culture has been the same all the time? It has always changed and will always do! there is really no such thing as a good or bad culture, there is just different cultures... In the 1000th Swedish people (the vinkings) were killing and stealing from people from all over the world (europe). 1000 years later sweden are one of the most peaceful countries on earth. Is that a bad thing? 90% of our traditions are from other countries, christmas (with santa and stuff), easter, midsummer etc. So our old anicent culture has been influenced by so many other cultures during the past 1000 year, and what we call our culture is really a lot of cultures! traditions change over time! its not a bad thing either!

Tenshion between cultures do occur, true. however that is only due to ignorance and bad understanding. Educate people the right way and such things as racism will almost dissapear (there will always be people that are stupid enough not to understand and that want to make truoble).

That is true, if they get that many. You have any examples of that actually happening tho (except europeans to native american laws)?
