I've been using a Mac for a while, at the moment I'm running OSX.

Overall I like the way the interface works, and how it doesn't crash too much (it does crash, believe me, but not THAT much)

The only thing that would steer me towards using Windows (apart from the prices of PC systems) is the compatablilty for mainstream programs like instant messaging for example, and a lot of shareware.

I might end up buying a PC when I move out, mainly because of the price thing. But I'm happy enough with this Mac.

Apple still sucks in my book because it's not generally compatible with all applications. At least the ones I use ... and Macs suffer miserably against IBM PCs for sheer power.

i agree that the general public wouldn't use a mac because they are primarily driven toward creatives, but macs are MUCH more powerful than a PC hands down.
