It's a good mix, Subsky's track is dead on as well as Science Dept. The intro is good too, but I still think Session 001's intro is the best. The ending track is different out of all the other tracks, but it's really good I liked it. It had classical feel to it at one point. Loved the piano.

Session 004 is uploading right now. It will be ready in about 1 hour from this post.

Sorry about being late, school is crazy this week and I just haven't had the time to sit down and get this uploaded.

Thanks all for the support. Enjoy some melodic breaks onto some smooth progressive house, and ending with one of the greatest male vocals EDM has ever seen. (With the exception of Amoebassassin - Piledriver (Grayed Out Summer Mix of course ) Nothing too new in this mix. Mainly it was a compilation of some songs I was rummaging through and it came out like this.

Next week expect the pace to be up'd a little and pretty much all new tracks added to that one. Catch me next Monday as I try to top Session 003 everyone seems to enjoy much.

-Steve

PS. Something noteworthy. On the Derek Howell vinyl, in the center is carved, "R.I.P. Adam Spears, So long dude", written by Derek himself. I had the pleasure of speaking with Adam for a little of a month before he passed and he was one of the most talented producers I've known. Such a great kid and great friend. I found it appropriate to inlude another remix of his acclaimed "Crayons" track. Hope everyone enjoys.

i dont wanna piss on your parade or anything, but i think its pretty safe to say that you play tracks that other people in these forums have already played (at least 1 in each set you tracklisted in your first post), and if not, then by the same artist others play, and if not, then in the same specialized genre.

please explain whats the diffrence between you and the rest of the sets 'flooding' this forum.

thanks

You just said it my friend. If I'm playing one track in each of my sets that others are then I think I'm doing my homework. Right? I knew I would be stepping on some feet here and I'm suprised it took this long for someone to post about this, but I'm sorry if I've offended you.

This board with the exception of many that I've seen lately (ie: Max Thompson, DJ Ollis, AlphaStarred, etc.) play tracks that Armin plays or Markus plays and Tiesto plays and it gets boring. I just like to see diversification in this board and not the same tracklist.

The difference between mine is that I try my hardest to do my music homework. All day, all night busting my ass to provide something different for everyone. Please, take a moment and listen to any of my 4 sets offered and you will clearly see a distinction among all the others on this board. Does that make me better, HELL NO. It makes me different, and that's something I want to be. I want to end my sets in Ambient music, I want to play breakbeat tracks that no one else does, I want to include songs that shouldn't be in a set, I want to do all that I can to gain appreciation for what I do. I do this for not only myself to better myself, but to show everyone that music isn't so one dimensional with all the top jocks.

I'm once again sorry I might have offended you, but shit, I can't please everyone. I try, but its simply not possible.

-Steve

PS: Remember I want to show that I am DIFFERENT, not BETTER!

[EDIT] I decided to take it down.

Downloading session 4 now, comments will follow as usual

It's going pretty slow though

Oh and thanks for choosing the MV remix of Crayons and not the over-hyped Leama & Moor remix

I e-mailed the admin. rigth away. Its been going this slow for about a week now and I don't know why. I will find another host if these are going this slow. The thing that upsets me is that I pay for hosting and this happens. So I'm up on top of it.

i understand what you're showing, im just not convinced that you are that much diffrent (although i havent listened, so i cant comment on the technical work).

id say that this board holds about 45% trance sets (i didnt notice if they are in a specialized substyle or not).

45% progreesive house in a very specialized substyle, stuff that usually comes out on the same labels, by the same artists, with the same sounds (not that there's anything wrong with that), i think this specialized genre is called fluff-prog or something like that, progressive breaks are in this same category more often then not.

and then there are the 10% which are divided between "others",, i sit in those with my techno, ive seen psytrance there often, and some other styles not too often.

do you honestly think that you are in those 10%?
if so, why?
you play pretty much what the second 'half' of ta play (genre-wise)

please dont understand this as if i was offended, i just wanna see what diffrentiates you from the rest in your opinion.

thanks

Well judging that at the time I have 55 replies (although some are mine) and over 2000 views in less than a month, and close to 400 d/l's on my first mix, I think I would conclude that something is different here. The feedback clearly states it and I don't know how you can talk about my mix by looking at the TL, that's a little offensive quite honest.

Once again, listen any of the mixes and then post a comment. This argument you brought in here is bogus. Thanks.

alright, im grabbing the 3rd set, will listen later tonight or tommorow.

btw, the feedback you generated here did not necassiraly (sp?) generate because of a diffrence, more likely that because people enjoy this specialized genre, and you probably deliver it skillfully.
do you see my point?
