If want really cheap and quality stuff check this place out. I've been purchasing electronics components from one of their dealers (WES Components) for years. Never had any problems plus they're located in Sydney.

You can buy already assembled stuff or If you're on the know-how little bit about simple electronics stuff like soldering, acoustics etc you can order just the right things for your needs that will surpass the quality of most gear out there!!!! There is nothing like custom made speakers.

DANISH Sound Tech

I need to get myself a decent pair of monitors and I was thinking of getting a pair of M-Audio BX5 monitors and a SBX sub shipped over from the stats, i'd go with the Behringer Truth ones but i dont have much space and i think they would be too big, i'd really prefer a sub and 2 satellites, does anyone have any experience with these? from the reviews ive read they seam pretty good. does anyone have any other recomendations for smallish speakers i can use for dj monitoring?

Not at all! There are speakers and Amplifiers that are acceptible and there are speakers and amplifiers that are AUDIOPHILE!

When it comes to speaker design there are no absolute guides or formulas to follow to build/design Audiophile level speaker systems! All that quality SP manufacturers use 'trail and error' method to build their hi-end speaker boxes. Its all experimental. There are no 2 speaker boxes that are absolutely the same in frequency response (no shit). Building your own speakers is fun and very educational about the art of acoustics. Don't let all that technical mambo jumbo sway or scare you away. Start building
