Not to fond of children, and sometimes sociable. The rest is absolutelly right

my boyfriend is an apple tree...the only part that i don't know about is the children thing. i've never seen him around kids, and he doesn't exactly talk about how great they are or anything, lol. everything else is true though

Hornbeam Tree (Good Taste) -- Of cool beauty, cares for his/her looks and condition, good taste, is not egoistic, makes life as comfortable as possible, leads a reasonable and disciplined life, looks for kindness and acknowledgment in an emotional partner, dreams of unusual lovers, is seldom happy with its feelings, mistrusts most people, is never sure of its decisions, very conscientious.

Of cool beauty, cares for his/her looks and condition, good taste...
Very true.

is not egoistic...
I dont think so, but other people I know think I have an ego.

makes life as comfortable as possible, leads a reasonable and disciplined life...
Yep, thats true.

looks for kindness and acknowledgment in an emotional partner, dreams of unusual lovers...
Definitely. Unusual lovers? I dont know. What might be unusual for some might be normal to others. What do they mean by unusual though? Looks? I think I deserve the best, so why not strive to find the best looking girl you can.

is seldom happy with its feelings...
True.

mistrusts most people...
110% true.

is never sure of its decisions, very conscientious.
These kinda contradict eachother. When making decisions I always doubt the outcome, we all do, its part of human nature - we all have a subconscious. But I always look at a situation from all angles and apply it the best way possible in that given time. Once I make a decision I go with it 100% and dont look back.

Id say this is pretty good and relatively accurate.

That crap is all bullshit. Take any basic Psychology class and you'll realize that those things are made in such a broad spectrum to appeal to anyone that reads it. It's done with flattery and touches upon sensitive areas that nearly every person can feel. You can make one up too.

*ahem*

You are strong-willed but from past experiences fear getting too close to someone. You are intelligent, but sometimes you slack and don't live up to your full potential. You give off an attitude about not caring, but in reality some things penetrate deep. You prefer to be honest and at times are impulsive. You loved to be loved but even just the small things can make you happy. You have a secret wild side that's waiting to be unleashed. Sometimes it's hard for you to take criticism, but in the end you understand that it's only for the best.

There's my bullshit horoscope. How many of you can relate to at least part of it?

There was a study done where they took the horoscope of a serial killer and handed them to students in a class, telling them all that those are THEIR horoscopes. Those people proceeded to say that the horoscope was right, and oh my god, defined them perfectly!!!! Later they were told that not only did they all recieve the SAME ONE, that chart that defined them SO well, was the horoscope of a serial killer.

Elm Tree (Noble-mindedness) -- Pleasant shape, tasteful clothes, modest demands, tends not to forgive mistakes, cheerful, likes to lead but not to obey, honest and faithful partner, likes making decisions for others, noble-minded, generous, good sense of humor, practical.

TRUE

modest demands
honest and faithful
noble-minded
generous
good sense of humor

FALSE

tends to not forgive mistakes
cheerful
likes to lead but not obey
likes making decisions for others
practical

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know what to say about pleasant shape and tasteful clothes, as there's so many ugly people that like to say they have good taste in clothes- so I won't presume to know anything about that.

It's just as anuneventrade was saying - these sorts of things utilize what's called 'the Barnum Effect' and take advantage of the concept of 'a little bit for everyone.' They are so broad most of the time, they apply to just about everyone. If you really want to know yourself better, take a personality or IQ test... a lot more accurate than this sort of thing or a horoscope (though not even IQ and personality tests are all that meaningful).

Yep. I doubt they'd have much success if they wrote one that said:

Extremely shy, hateful, selfish, never stands out, horrible memory, unpopular, easily confused, consistenly poor personal hygiene, quick to betray as soon as a better opportunity arises, emotionally shallow, arrogant, always desperate for attention.
