Oh and good on the TiT's bringin up old threads.... except for the fact that the posts always seem to be kinda random and they are replying to something that happend along time ago.

What a great publicity stunt. I am sooo doing that at a show sometime. If you pull it off right, it would be awesome.

there's another sasha story. i believe a while back, sasha was pretty drunk in the booth when he got sick and vomited all over the decks and kinda slumped in the booth or something. got up after such a sorry state and mixed in something cleanly before falling down again. i have to get the exact story from my friend.

*edit*

"Fair play but was it as good as when he played @ Universe in newport
1992. Watching Sasha puke on the decks and stop the set. The set was
great and some of the best mixes i have ever heard to this day. Even
when he couldnt stand he managed to mix a Siedeth Garret accapela over
bomb the bass. Respect."

inside the jacket of global undergound #13 sasha in ibiza, there is a one liner that said "we found sasha laying face down in a ditch and woke him up to play...he played a 'wicked' set". the word "wicked" is actually used in the jacket...thereby persuaing everyone to believe that you had read that in said jacket.

Someone else posted the term "wicked" with reference to that set of sasha's even before I did.. I was just recycling the term

This is about a meth head local dj called dj kryp2nomicon... No ones seen him for a while, he got banned from the local forums for spamming it with nonsensical jibberish and solicitations to create "an army of prophets for god".

quote:
"Krafty Kuts is coming to Saskatoon...I am excited. Also a couple known "Breaks Heads" will be in town....Lestat and Domain.

Woohoo! Looks like it should be a good night.

So the night is going very well....people are having fun and the beats are massive.

I'm standing up next to the stage taking pictures of Krafty and all of a sudden, some dude literally jumps onto the railing in front and starts screaming "YEEEEEAAHHHHH!" and decides to put something on the speaker.

I look over and notice that he's put down a voice recorder......that's right......he was trying to record Krafty Kuts by putting a voice recorder in front of a bass bin.

Shocked

So anyway...the show is ending and everyone is asking Krafty for his autograph. I'm waiting around for Lestat to head over to the afterparty and said dude, sans shirt...covered in sweat runs up to us and starts asking all these questions, the whole time shoving this voice recorder in my face to hear my answers.

He then goes up to Krafty and tries to get a picture with him....but he HAS NO CAMERA! He's asking me to take the picture and had I known who this boy would become...I would have used the rest of my memory card just capturing him for my own amusement. After he let go of Krafty (he was hugging him the whole time) there was honestly a big sweat stain on his shirt from this shirtless jib monkey.

Fast forward about a half hour....we're at the after party and I'm setting up because I was gonna spin for a bit.

I'm 2 tracks in and the same monkey from the show comes up and puts the voice recorder on the table that we're using as a platform.

Not only does he skip the track MID MIX but he then tries talking to me over the music telling me about this "radio show" he's recording our sets for.

So he walks away to crank out another hit I think, I shut off his voice recorder.

10 minutes later he comes up and asks if he can spin. Since it's not my party, I tell him to find the promoter and work it out. Off he bounces looking like a cross between a monkey and a pineapple.

5 minutes go by and once again, he appears!

"Dude, Frank said I could play...I paid. Let me on!"

Ok, first things first......the promoters names were Pete and Dave....there was no Frank.....and when I asked him what he meant by "Paid" he told me he paid $5 to spin some tunes.

Ok. Whatever.

So I tell him to give me a bit of time as I've only been mixing for abour 20 minutes and then I'd let him on.

I'm still playing the same track when he comes back up to me and says:
"Man! C'mon, these people need some Hard House!!!!!"

Oh shit.

So I turn down the track I'm playing and ask the crowd.

"Who wants to hear Hard House?"

Everyone starts boo'ing except one dude standing....you guessed it, right next to me with his shirt off.

(This was a Breaks/DnB crowd. No disrespect to the Hardstyle...it just wasn't the music for the time)

So I tell him to get lost AGAIN. He then starts whining.

"Man, I paid the money! Let me spin!"

It's then that I looked into his eyes and saw that one was focused one way...and the other, the other way.

Weird is one way to describe it, let me tell you.

So off he goes huffing and puffing and once again SKIPS MY TRACK!!!

Evil or Very Mad

So another 5 minutes later this jibfiend comes up with a dude who I don't know but I know he's not the promoter.

"DUDE! THIS GUY SAID I CAN PLAY!!"

Rolling Eyes

So I talk to this guy, he apparently owns the house we were partying in (I found out later that this was the mysterious "Frank" even though that's not his name) and says this guys has been bugging him for like half an hour to spin so he says to me:

"Let him spin, if he sucks...kick him off."

Ok, I'm sick of hearing this kid so I say to Jon(DJ Rasta) that he's up after this guy and watch what the people want.

We'll just put it this way.

He played one track before "Frank" himself kicked him off."

if i don't remember wrong, he threw up on the dancefloor that night hehehe

he was mad drunk, same with väth.. remember we had plenty of jäger shots before i ended up getting as much rum as i wanted from their alcohol supplies behind the dj booth

best party ever imo,

DJs: Henrik B, Sven Väth, Adam Beyer, Thomas Krome, Mixed Feelings, Calle Dernulf, Desyn Masiello, Leon Roberts, Luke Fair, Geoff Gains, Can, Mats Wurnell, Christian Rusch, J2, Sebastian Voght, John "OO" Fleming, Ferry Corsten, Henrik Löwenhamn, Peter Benisch, Justin Sorrell, G-Stefan, Sina M. Solouk/Devilfish, Robin Söderman/Antiloop, Deep Nature, Lottie, Justin Drake/Peace Division, Johnny Boy, Joel Mull, Bennie, Pär Grindvik, Tobias von Hofsten

@ a two-day boatparty! swedische techno baby!

AND

at the summner cruise in august 2004, - me and cave were invited to the afterparty @ carola's cabine where supposedly beyer, liebing, carola and all the others were going to the afterparty, but the whole thing got cancelled because carola had passed out because he had drunk way too much vodka hehe

though, if i should be honest, i'd guess that beyer would be the first one to pass out that night, considering how he and liebing emptyed their bottle of absolut vodka while playing a bit b2b in the end of the night.. like, bas down... drink drink drink -> bass back again - >bom, emtpy the whole bottle! hehe

National headliner, Micro, plays in Colorado a lot. It seems like he gets wasted every time. I've spent many occasions talking to him where I can't even tell if he's listening. His eyes are hardly open and he just kind of sits there. One show he was wasted and it was around 5 or 6 in the morning. My friend, a local here, had a bottle of the Goose and Micro was running around after him, trying to pry the bottle out of his hand.

Joshua Ryan and Mark Pappas, from Phili, came out to play for a friend of mine a couple of years ago. After their sets, Josh went back to the hotel, but Mark wanted to hit the afterhours. So we go, and he tells me that he's too wasted to go meet girls, but he wants me to do it for him. So I run into this girl I had met once, and introduced her to him. They are still friends to this day.

These are kind of bland, but I'll try to think of some better ones, if possible.

I got wasted with Micro in New Orleans back in 2001. Caffeine was on tour and playing that night and we ran into hin and his booking agent on Burbon Street. Micro couldn't match one beat that night.....
