I'm really into Digweed, but I think, he being also very high in the DJ top 100 and all, that Tijs should not replace him, but maybe get a radioshow of his own on another radio channel. But I think there's an overkill of dutch DJ's having a radioshow at the moment (AvB, Marco V, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen (not really dutch ;-) ) etc.)

What if Digweed wanted to stop doing the radio show? Perhaps (perhaps being the keyword here) KISS needed a replacement and figured they'd hire Tijs.

So, for all we know, it might not be them firing Digweed to put Tijs on; Digweed could've left, and they just said "Hey, let's bring Tiësto on-board."

I've searched on RA site any infos about this and i couldn't find anything about that. And if you read carefully the end of the thread you'll see that this is only a rumor launched by a little kid who is quoting lots of serious site like residentadvisor.com bbc.co.uk etc .....

So this rumor is completely wrong and digweed will stay on kiss 100 FM i think

This has been what I was noticing from the start. Everyone's assuming that Digweed got fired in favor of Tiesto (not Tiesto's fault btw), or that Tiesto exerted some sort of influence on KISS and stole Digweed's spot. Never has it come up that maybe Digweed decided on his own to stop doing his show and the station brought Tiesto in to fill the vacant slot. Why would it though?? It's not as fun to bitch about that story.

Also, everyone should quit getting their panties in a knot over it anyways. We have hardly anything that would represent proof that this is going to happen.

someone posted this thread on another forum. im not sure if its true, but if it is then its a real shame

digweed might not be the world's most exciting man, he might not do stadium concerts but that doesnt detract from the fact he was there before tiesto got on the scene and is still here now. his mix albums with sasha (northern exposure 1-3, communicate and renaissance) have stood the test of time.
his show has been on kiss for the last 4 years and he's had anybody who is anybody on there as a guest mixer, even bringing new talent in like luke fair and desyn masiello and countless others. his playlists were extremely varied and changing every week, and the sheer amount of great tunage ive picked up from there is incredible. and he almost never played his own tunes, in fact he was very keen on advertising small labels and never had gimmicks like "tune of the week" and "future favourite" and rubbish like that.

we'll never know the true circumstances sorrounding his departure but i very much doubt tiesto will do anything even remotely original or even come close to matching the quality of that show.

To me it sounds unlikely that Tiesto would replace Digweed, I don't think Tiesto has time now to do a weekly radio show, I agree that this news are false.
