but from the other side if you compare their salaries to hip-hop stars (those from MTV) they dont get that much.

yea right, i bet the real lack of money making is in record sales and CD's. sales aren't like they used to be.. they all make there money in touring.

as far as the costs, it's all justified. If they can attract thousands of people out to a club, they're the ones attracting the people out, not just the name of a club or the name of a promoter - they deserve a big chunk of the money made.

No way,

A big name dj creates a vibe like no other(expecialy Tiesto) simply having some one spin the same tunes as them is not the same.....

JOOF = £1500 ish
scott bond = £1100 ish
matt hardwick = £900 ish
zinc = £1500
Darren tate = £900
Fluctlicht = £1000

all require flights and 4 star acomadation.

does this out things into perspective of how rediculous these fees you are talking about are. they get ALOT less than what most of you have been saying. 50k for each gig! dont be so stupid. they will get that for big events and specal occasions.

Supply and Demand

House deejays charge the most (Morillo and co.)

May charge the most but don't get teh fan to their peak. I'd much rather listen to someone else.

Rummor has it that Sasha got paied $40,000 (US) the last time her was here in LA and will get paid that everytime he his here!!!

I am in the wrong bussiness. I would love to get that much money for 3 hours of work that is fo' sure.

Now I have a few questions:
1. Does it really matter how much Dj's get paied. Ya I know it reflects on how much tickets are..you don't see DJ's walking around asking how much we make.
2. Do these costs include hotel, flights, meals, trasportation?? Or is it just the cost to get them too the club??
