Actually, your conclusion is incorrect and it's shown clearly be the discrepancy in the exit polls. Kerry counted on the "young voters" to bring in the votes, and so did a lot of the Liberal reporters, and hence they didn't poll the young voters as they left the stations. Turned out that many more of the youth voters than the media expected actually voted for Bush.

Sure, the tension of the situation might have brought out a few evangelists, but it really brought out the youth vote in droves, and even the Liberal media networks have admitted that the Democrats were overconfident about the youth vote and that Bush actually took a lot of support from them.

Besides, Florida and Ohio were close but so were a lot of those other states you listed (Florida and Ohio were the only close ones with bush in the lead, yes). DC is also not a state. Besides, you go ahead and call the southern states redneck states, I'll refer to the likes of California and Massachusetts as liberal airhead states.

i thought that there were actually fewer youth voters than was originally expected..

didn't seem that way when American Idol was on tho ..

Fewer youth voters who voted for Kerry than was originally expected, yes. Many of them voted for Bush.

Maybe there were fewer overall, I'm not sure, but I'd put money on there being more new youth voters than evangelist voters.

Just because people aren't from a metropolis doesnt mean that they are dumb like your statement infers and not every state with a major city voted for Kerry. Which someone else already posted. It's easy for people to drive from the back seat. (if you know what i mean)

from what i heard , it was fewer youth voters overall..

i'm sure there's gotta be some truthful info on CNN .. here was one exit poll stat chart that showed 54% of voters between the age of 18-29 voting for Kerry and the remaining 45% for Bush. I think Kerry was relying a lot on the youth vote as well which didn't seem to turn up as he had hoped.

Not at all. But in this case it is the excuse because sadly the US media misinforms. Americans have no clue what Bush's policies have done to the rest of the world nor do they care. This is why Bush would never win anywhere else in the world.
