This is a great thread, although I'm embarrassed to contribute with my expertise in German, Hungarian and Japanese not open for critique.
I always seem to forget languages so quickly if I do not use them.

But for the language experts, why do girls seem to love learning Spanish? Is it a sexy language? Or does the place and people hold all the appeal?

a couple of causes:
1. yea kinda sexy (just like uve said - not sure if its true)
2. spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn it,so...
