thats what happen to me. Me and my ex broke up.. I was having rough times.. I was trying hard to find someone else.. then all of a sudden I got into working hard and loooking to better myself at work, I was so involved and I forgot about everything else. Sure enough My new gf came around and we're as happy as ever for the last two years now.

Its the whole law..you want it.. it doesn't happen, when you don't, it does.

You're right.. you should go after things. I'm definitely not saying "Hey don't follow your dreams or desires". I totally agree that you should and you always want to have some part in it.. influence is good. Its just that when you try too hard and lose focus and start to get frustrated it doesn't happen. When you seem to be enjoying yourself and stress is lower than usual things happen the right way.. *shrug* I think thats right

So with that.. I'm trying to find a way to feed my addiction on working on my car..

it also doesn't help me that more then half of the girls in NYC are skanks... it's a personal opinion but most of the girls in ny don't look twice at you unless they see something shine

Agreed on that as well. Not searching I guess is the thing. However, you must be open to the idea. You still have to put yourself out there in an environment to meet people.

My 6 months in NYC has taught me that this city is a lot like "Sex in the City." You can meet lots of girls but it's definitely more of a challenge to meet good ones. Plus, I'm not lonely but my observation has been that NYC is full of people living tightly together... and feel alone. It's weird moving into that... it was unexpected.

Anyway, I'm still happy to be here in NYC!!

The fish are at least biting... soon enough I'll find a big one to keep in the boat.

mann u dunno how MANY friends (age 29 and up) i used to have who wouldnt even put themselves "out there" or even be somewhat approachable...im like, well then ur kinda contributing to ur loss column arent u. fo real. its funny a lot of ppl my age are single not by choice and they dun even have a clue on how to get outta that situation. ive actually had ppl come up to me and be like, "how are you so open?" but its really not hard at all...

Hehe.. I just moved up NH from NYC... coming up here has been rough and finding people to associate with has been even harder. People tend to look at me funny because of the fact I have this glow that says "HEY I'M FROM NYC, PAY ATTENTION TO ME" so I'm told by my co-workers up here.

I can admit I'm lonely up here. so Now I'm taking the problem into my hands.. or atleast trying. My gf lives in NYC and I'm down there every weekend after a 4 hour drive every friday. So that kinda hurts my chances of meeting people up here in NE
