yeh, I bought my EFX-500 used for 300€ (but that stuff is expensive AND RARE here in Portugal). I'm considering getting the Alesis AirFX too, to add it to the mix, it's so cheap too, and I don't like the filter effect that much on the EFX-500 so... I just hope that one is any good

One thing I have heard is even though the AirFX is a great unit, its extremely hard to replicate the sound again.

Woah!! Glad some of you are still finding this useful...

I'll be doing videos for my next CD next year with newer equipment in case anyone is interested.

The EFX 1000 has some krafty things you can do with it especially when combined with the... (Men in black from Pioneer Bust in shhh James before he can speak) :lol

Thanks!!

I'm so excited about the efx1000, although it doesnt have TOO many new things, and even lacks a couple of the old things, its about time there was a functional effects unit that doesnt butcher your sound quality.

Its a shame it is way too pricey for the average bedroom dj (1000$ bucks!)

most top-of-the-line units and new innovations are too $$ for the average bedroom dj to buy instantly... but not to save up for.

speaking of saving money, before you guys start buying DJM-600s and that efx unit Mr. Z uses, note that soon a DJM-1000 is coming out as well as an upgraded efx unit.

source = Zabiela himself
