No doubt, Paul is a good dj but dj mag and bpm mag are popularity contests and do not reflect on a dj's ability. ATB was ranked 13th and he trainwrecks so much.

Actually, he's kinda right on this one. No disrespect to PVD intended. Besides, any poll that ranks ATB so high (I wouldn't put him in the top 50) is,.......well......kinda wack ! There are tons of bedroom DJ's out there who're better than him.

I always remember those crazy times and it was always fun. I also remember one time when I’d been playing the Annexe when Oaky had his residency there and I heard he was playing a track from my ‘Seven Ways’ album and then the second track was from the ‘Seven Ways’ album and then the third and the fourth and he basically played the whole album! I was just stood there shaking, I just couldn’t believe it"

Smiley DJ Reply to LordTranceaLaut

Hello LordTranceaLaut.

This is in response to your last posting. This desi vandit groups sounds interesting. I'm from India by descent, born and brought up, in Mumbai. I currently live in U.S. Would I be eligible. I'm a TRANCE DJ myself. I was inspired by PVD, during my residence in UK, and today I follow it. I use ABLETON LIVE and have produced some of my own mixes from scratch. I'm working on releasing my album soon.

Let me know.
Trance in Peace!

This yahoo group seems like a good idea. However, I think it would be a better idea if the group covered indians who like EDM in general..psy...prog...hardstyle..breaks. whatever. Limiting it to a PVD fan site is a bit concentrated and would probably not get half as much people if it were a 'desi-trance' group. The important thing is the people..and the music we talk about. Also, even though Vanditpandit is a verrrry witty name, quite a few seem to be really fixated on it.

Now that I'm for. I was thinking along the lines of having a sub-group for Indian TA's or TA's in India, since there aren't that many of us to get an 'India' section going on TA itself. I would have preferred to exclude Psy (even though I'm a Psy fan myself) since most people over here are into Psy and not much else (among the various EDM genres, that is). I would like to meet people who have interest beyond Psy - specifically trance, tech-trance, house, etc. After all it's not that often that I come across people over here who've heard of Dave Seaman, Talla 2XLC, Parks and Wilson, etc. (just an example). But what's been said above sounds good. ((Should we start a new thread on this??))
