I agree about big named DJS playing a lot of the same shit, and of course there are other smaller DJs who are gonna run out and buy those same big records and play them out, but not everyone does that. MP3's don't mean that everyone is drawing from the same pool at all. There is so much out there that almost no one knows about, but not many DJS are willing to go out on a limb and play stuff that no one has heard before. They settle on big tracks that they're favorite DJS play to death. But go to any local record shop and spend a couple of hours there...you're gonna leave with a lot of shit that most peopel have never heard before, as long as you don't go straight for all PVD and Sasha playlisted records.

well all the tunes you can get via the net..... wether its tech house dnb trance breaks you name it....... nothing is not viable..

The Internet in general fucked our scene. Now there is a review for everything. When I started going out with my friends tom and nick like 7 years ago I would hear a about a party at Caffeine (record shop in long island). They would have flyer's for some rave at the tunnel or some party at twilo fridays. I would go enjoy myself then that was it. No community's to share you experiences. So I never really knew what everyone else thought. It made things more fun and underground. Not allot of people knew about it. You just had to be in the right place a the right time.

I believe the Internet commercialized our scene. There is no scarcity. When something is always available it makes it allure diminish fast.

I agree... Though in 99 i was on a rave email list thing that was pretty cool.....

Oakey was AMAZING those years.. his live lives form those years are still on my mp3 player very often..
