Yeah it DOES lack detail because I'm trying to keep these as SHORT stories. Too much detail and these shits will explode into full-size novels.

i read american physcho and it was certainly different, so wouldnt mind reading some of his other work.

and since the main character from Glamorama was in rules of attraction would i need to read ROA first?

I realised I forgot to mention a couple of good books from these guys. You have made great choices, though. I probably would have chosen the same ones. Conversación en la catedral is a great book by Vargas Llosa. If you like his style, you might like "La tía Julia y el escribidor".
Un mundo para Julius is my favourite by Bryce Echenique. Many people consider it his best piece of work. I've read it when I was about 14 y.o. and had my copy autographed by him when he visited my school. Quite an eccentric person. He showed up drunk to talk about his work, lol.

Never read glamorama, so i don't know if you should read RoA first, but read it anyway, it's a good book. Just follows a few teens around and the stuff that happens to them. The movie's decent too.

Okay, I'll also try reading the other book you mentioned by Vargas Llosa. Let's hope I don't forget about telling you how I liked them. I have bad memory.

I don't exactly know. I was just starting to read it and as soon as I got to that part I felt as if I didn't want to put time into reading the book at that given time. It's like I told myself to suspend the reading for a later time. Maybe I got offended, something that would be absurd. To be sincere, I don't know.

what is incredible in it is the psychological side, really impressive and haunting!
If you like it i can recommend you the other masterpieces by Dostoievski if you have'nt read them yet, particularly "The idiot" which is very convincing to me, as well as "The possessed", haunting too.
