I think the objection to the word Jihad in this thread is proof of what i said earlier about this society being oversensitive to EVERYTHING.

If anyone has bastardized the word Jihad in western society it is the extremists that have taken this name and misused it in the name of their terrorism.

It's the same way that the Nazis have forever bastardized the swastika which until World War 2 had been known as an international sign of peace (believe it or not)

In fact if you go to Osgoode Hall and look at the tile murals on the floor you will see many many swastikas for that reason (Osgoode was built in the 1800s)
